What a cool system. Thank you for taking it apart and showing us. I'm so happy we're getting SO MANY different lock styles that are finger safe. Makes a huge difference when dealing with nerve damage, as you know!

I gotta be honest I think this is going to be the year of the mad locking systems!! Haha you now you can’t take anything apart without a love bite either from the the knife your striping or one of the tools but I think this was the fist for getting bite by a knife getting jealous it wasn’t on camera. Have a great weekend and stay safe and healthy stassa my friend 👍🏼😘🫵🏻

It would be interesting to see some testing on this lock to see how strong it is. I like these disassembly vids so I can see how everything works without having to take something apart myself.

I watched a disassembly of Reate's PL-XT. They work differently, but achieve two similar things over typical plunge button locks. Both have a detent ball that you overcome instead of the lock mechanism itself. Both have a rectangular cutout that the sits in the blade to lock it in position. I think that is pretty significant improvements to lock reliability. Reate does have a lock switch you can flip to prevent accidental button presses. Both also have the large bearings, but that is kinda expected. This one seems easier to put back together, but both look above average for maintenance. Thanks for putting this up. Really nice to see how these work.

Thanks for taking one for the team. Now go tend to that thumb. This knife looks very cool. Gonna need it to go along with my truffles.

Looks like the lock face and lock bar are both a perfect square. How will this lock adjust to wear over time? A liner lock makes the blade lock face a ramp so the liner can move over, over time. The Triad lock makes the lock bar sit proud of the scales to adjust over time and sink in more and more.

Very interesting mechanism. Looks solid and robust. Curious how it will hold up over time

I like the new remette paragrine falcon. It looks better than this vosteed imo, and it has a very similar pivot lock from the looks of it. Great video. Thanks for taking the time to take this one apart. It was neat to see how much went into this lock.

Big price difference and the remette is a pivot button pushing a liner lock

Very cool, and highly unusual In its engineering. I like it. Good candidate for skiff bearings too.
