the gold mine museum accident was over by Colorado Springs but I thought of you when I saw it on CNN. something about the ore-car ride from ground level to the first shaft cut malfunctioned..

that was neat when they dig out the ore there are multiple metals that they work out of the slurry. copper zinc lead silver gold . treating with different compounds causes it to fall out of solution as a solid. arsenic would liquify the gold then changing the ph of the solution would cause the gold to come out of solution, usually used for very fine gold to recover more in the process. there are trade secrets to the amounts of what compounds, to remove. different metals. great video!
