One thing I like about rock is that no matter how much you slow it down, no matter how lovey dovey it gets, there is always an under lying feeling of potential mayhem. You can feel it when the guitar solo starts going, or in the imperfect notes, that slight raspy sound in their vocals that lets you know that this could explode at any moment, but they are barely containing it. Not sure if I'm getting my point across well enough, but in a nut shell, every rock ballad has an underlying current of violence, mayhem, and imperfection that is just barely in check.

DUDE!!! any Ozzy with Randy is legend...2 albums of beginning to end excellence. Then there is the oft maligned Jake Lee stuff...it is also excellent. Jake had huge shoes to fill.I think he did it competently. Jake was not Randy, but Jake was also great...imo...Then there is Zak.Not really as good as Randy or Jake, but has a raw and powerful sound, gotta love Zak too, and he has gotten better and better over the years, and has been with Ozzy much longer than any other guitar player. Obviously, I must mention Tony Iomi. He is legend. He is the archetype. Tony, Geezer, Bill, and John Michael Osborne created a type of music that defines my youth.Another of my favorite Ozzy albums was "Speak Of The Devil", this live album featured Brad Gillis on guitars, a live album of Black Sabbath tunes that was made after Randy's passing and before Jake Lee joined Ozzy. "Close My Eyes Forever", is not my favorite. It was more about Lita's rack, than it was about music,,,but, I like a good rack as much as the next guy...Peace Brother, I can not pronounce your name, but have a good holiday Cadinho

This was their only song together. They primarily met and became friends through Tony Iommi(Black Sabbath lead guitarist) who was dating Lita at the time this was written.

That song went to #8 without any airplay from stations emanating from Chicago proper, as they were switching directions in format every 6-10 months. Luckily its suburbs had many great stations at the time & picked up the slack so many times.

My heavy metal queen Lita Ford is a metal goddess. Her playing ability is just as good as any guy guitarist and she had to fight for her acknowledgement from all the male players. When people went to see her everyone would think it was the male guitarist in her band pulling off the lead work but it was Lita and she is that good.
