Erythrocytes are also known as mature Red Blood Cells (RBC). These oxygen-carrying cells are the major element of circulating blood. Their number in the circulation varies with the animal's activity and environmental conditions (Mosby's dictionary, 2016). All erythroid cells in animal including precursors and erythrocytes in blood vessels and sinuses of spleen, liver, and marrow are collectively called erythron (Stockham and Scott. 2002). Complete evaluation of erythrocyte includes determination of PCV. TRC. morphology, parasites, hemoglobin, MCV, MCH, and MCHC (Jones and Allison, 2007).
