I've had a 5,000 watt Vevor for three years working 24/7 and not a single issue with it. Nowadays the budget Chinese Inverters are very reliable as compared to 15 to 20 years ago when they were junk.

Thanks for the great review and information. I'm working on building my system. May be complete by this time next year But, we're getting there.

It took me a very long time to source everything for mine. I saved a ton of money being patient and installing everything. Good luck with the sourcing phase. Building a system is a process but very rewarding. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍🏻

The fact that it's so light tells me it's lacking a significant amount of magnetics. Like computer UPSs these are not suitable for reliably running inductive loads. Throw a mitre saw or something on there and I bet the harmonics and distortion go through the roof, potentially impacting more sensitive electronic loads. It has its place but I wouldn't treat this as a home backup solution except very limited applications. Great review by the way, to the point. Would add value to demonstrate some loads being powered. Thumbs up.

I agree ( It has its place but I wouldn't treat this as a home backup solution except very limited applications ) Such as RV'ing and van life this could easily offer the solution some are looking for. If I were going for a whole home backup it would be a quality hybrid inverter or microinverters. Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍

I'm looking for an inverter to use as a backup for my sump pump with a 12v 100AH battery. Will this do the job if the power goes out?
@JustinsProject
2 ай бұрын
No. This is a 24v inverter. You would need two batteries to create a 24v. If that is all that you are powering. It might be better to just get a 12v inverter.

If is light, is bad. Because does not have a low frequency coil, which handle high peak loads like a pump motor.

A 3000w inverter like this will have an 85% - 90% efficiency rating. 3000w - 90% = 300w So providing you use the correct size cables etc, all as close to the battery as possible for least amount of losses the maximum you will get out of it is 2700watts. No inverter is 100% efficient. Work out how many watts you need then times that by 1.25 so you have a safely buffer. Then minus 15% off what the inverter says it is continuous then you are good to go.

Is that for power consumption or output?

so, it shots off at 19 volts ? wow that won't run too long then

That depends on the size of your battery.

@@dkphill well I will be using a 24v 200ah , 5120 WH LifePo4 battery. I’m planning only running a freezer, a refrigerator and a few on and off LED lights. During a black out. How long do you think that would work?
@dkphill

@@GmanfromTexas buy a plug in watt meter. Plug your appliances into that, after 24 hours see how many Watts you have used. Then you know how many Watts you require. Oh and volts times amps = Watts. So 24v times 200amps = 4800 Watts.
