Absolute great video and very interesting to hear about Vic Buckingham as I was at Fulham when he was there. He was a manager if you were injured you were dead wood as he would say which obviously did not go down too well with the players. He fell out with Rodney Marsh who was such a great player but it did not matter to Vic Buckingham who you were and how good you were if you did not follow what he said you were finished and out the door and that was what happened to Rodney Marsh who went to QPR. Hi John, thank you for the kind words and fascinating insight, much appreciated. Certainly an interesting figure who it must have been very interesting to play for. I’ve been reading up on your career, you must have some fascinating stories from your time in Serbia!

Hello John ,was it Dave sexton who changed our style and fortunes in the second half of the 1965-66 season when we somehow stayed up .

A good and largely accurate video. VB is my grandad. The bit at Wednesday is a little inaccurate as manager Harry Catterick had finished second in Div 1 in 60/61

Ronnie Allen was possibly influenced by Buckingham. An academy of football at the Hawthorns!
