I also am one for the longer videos just due to wanting to do a similar build I like the nitty gritty details that really help the build come together

Honestly think you've done an amazing job up to now and it was great idea to keep original panels and paint! Always wanted a 60s model c10 64-66 to be exact and I'm definitely inspired by your build!!

I’m really enjoying the build. It helps me in my own 65 C10 project. Saying that, I prefer the longer videos! But that’s just me! I’ll watch either way.

Can’t wait to do mine after watching you finish yours. I’m curious how high it sits too. I have seen a few with rubber spacers and bolting it right on top of the frame. I would think that would give it a lower stance. Excited to see the next video! Keep up the great videos, I’m learning a ton. 👍🏼

Thank you for the kind words! And that is a good idea about lowering the mounts so it sits lower on the frame. Im deep into wiring this week and then hopefully after that, can get the rest of the panels on!

Aww damn man, i was worried about cracking mine as well, we were slapping the shit out of it 😂. Im worried that the bottom lip on mine may be out of wack from the new dash but hopefully not!

Did you try and go into the bottom first or the top first? In this case I think bottom first then top might be the best way to make it happy lol

@@FLManGarage i used a old windshield it was cracked but is separating i think thats what made it crack from hitting it. And for the bottom nothing a little silicone cant fix!

Before I share my opinion, please know, I’m enjoying this journey. I like your vids and I like C10’s. I think you should do you, I understand working within a budget and planning out a build over years. So with that said, I think it’s cool that you clear coated the patina. All that said, I hate patina. It looks awful. Not my cup of tea at all lol. But like I said above, I understand it.

Love the project. I’m working on a 64 long bed on a 2001 suburban with the same kit. Just wondering. What clevis or adaptor did you use on the brake booster rod?
@FLManGarage
3 ай бұрын
Thank you! I used the Tahoe brake booster, cut off the end of the rod. Then used this die to cut threads in the rod amzn.to/3yKsKah Then used this kit to connect to the brake pedal amzn.to/3XcZtPH I show some of that in my latest episode # 19

Hey man. I saw the steering column you used appeared a little short. What length did you use so I can get one an inch or so longer?

Yes! It was definitely a bit short. It was 28” the one i used

Thank you for the kind words! I think 30” would have been perfect! Heres the one i bought www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNMYDT3H/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_T19936YBEW1NXBH5TY08?linkCode=ml2&tag=floridamangar-20 Its not the best quality though. It works but is kinda noisy when you hit bumps!

Here is a link to the column i used. But it is definitely a bit too short. I would recommend at least a 30” column. Also this one definitely is not the best of quality. If you are looking for quality, i hear good things about ididit columns, however, they are very pricey. Heres the cheap one i used Pateyney 28" GM Steering Column... www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNMYDT3H?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
