What a tremendously precious treasure we lost! Rest in peace, Victor. You brought such joy, for so many years, to so many millions!

I only discovered Victor Borge one month ago. He was a fabulous and funny pianist and comedian ! What a pleasure. Unfortunately, no French subtitles.

Once upon a time, Victor Borge did some composing; now he's decomposing. ;) Don't yell at me. Judging by how self-depreciating a lot of his humour was, I think Victor Borge himself would have fallen over laughing at that one. He wasn't pretentious or obnoxious like some so-called comedians these days. I'm sorry he's dead. We've lost one of the greatest comics on Earth, as well as a great musical talent. Victor Borge could have people almost literally rolling in the aisles with laughter and he did it without having to use crude innuendo or epithet-laden language. It takes real talent to do that. RIP Victor. You are missed.

Not a critique, just a bit of comedy in Borge's style... although it ended up with a lovely piece in the end, not at all as "modern"-sounding as one might expect based on his build-up. He continued his brand of hilarious classical-music comedy for decades more after this, entertaining millions in concert and on TV. Viva Borge!

Definitely. He put a medley of classic songs together and came up with a song which would win an Emmy or Oscar today. In fact this song reminds me a lot of one of Disney's classics, like "Once Upon a Dream"
