Here is Ted Weems(1901-1963) & HisOrchestra with Vocal by Arthur Jarrett (1907-1987), playing and singing My Baby Just Cares for Me from the Florenz Ziegfeld & Samuel Goldwyn Motion Picture "Whoopee" from 1930. The Song was composed by Gus Kahn & Walter Donaldson. The record is the original 10" Black and Gold Label Victor Orthophonic 22499 from 1930. The Victrola in an original 1925 two door Victor Orthophonic Model Credenza from late 1925. The Credenza was considered the top of the line "Flagship Model" of Victor's new Orthophonic Line of Victrolas, specifically designed to play and enhance the sound of the new Electrically recorded Records that were introduced earlier that Year. Notice the new and short-lived Trademark Logo for Victor's new 1925 Orthophonic Models which is shown briefly in the Video. Victor dealers complained that this was too much of a drastic change from the original "Dog" Trademark displayed on the earlier Victrolas, and was quickly changed back to a more traditional Victor Type on all future Orthophonic Victrola models.
