I loved Bobby & Pam. Still do. When I saw the car accident & she was severely burned- I was in shock & denial- just like the other fans..Pam knew that Bobby was there for her- It wasn't until she saw herself in a mirror when she decided to run away from Dallas- Because of how burned she was. It really upset Bobby, Christopher & Cliff- Katherine couldn't care less if Pam was hurt or not- She still had her sights on Bobby. I am glad that the show gave us an ending ofu how Pam fared after the accident & that she was moving on with her life after lots of plastic surgeries & supposedly was going to marry her doctor- only to learn that she had pancreatic cancer & had only a few more months to live. The reboot said she died in 1989.😢💔

@@jaredjlinden It was a show about FAMILY, and when you lost a crucial member of the family, the entire show suffered. We saw it when Jim Davis died, we saw it when Barbara Bel Geddes was absent for a year, we saw it when Patrick Duffy left, and we saw it when Victoria Principal left. @@midohiobuckeyeaorwarrior9743 Victoria Principal is an adult and responsible for the decisions she makes in her life - but so was Andy Gibb. According to ALL of the press reporting of the time, Gibb's struggles with addiction pre-date his relationship with Principal - no one has ever challenged her claim that she ended the relationship because she couldn't bear to watch him kill himself with his addiction. Dallas (like Roseanne) one of the few game changing, classics that lingered at least 2-4 years too long! Kind of happened w/ All In the Family/Arch. Bunkers Place too (cringe). Jean & Norman KNEW but Carroll (like Roseanne ended up more abt refusing to give up fame/fortune but esp power w/ Roseanne imo). Roseanne and Dallas became unwatchable by that textbook '8/9th' season. MOST classic, iconic shows usually end while on top and gracefully (7 seasons is usually IT). VP was *spot on (more than ever now I realize...much as it sucked when she left!) for her perfect timing as a biz woman to flee. By 1987 show was in freefall. '83-'84 last golden/ perfect season. '84/'85 was basically its last good yr (even w/ Donna Reed :#!) lol then simply awful, frivolous TV lol. Same w/ Roseanne last 2 seasons ESP last one, horrid. Shoulda ended in 1995 (8th season) while still very good. 1994/early 95 was the last yr it was great/flawless.
