Enjoyed the series, just a historical note. The axle break hill was named because the track used to have quite a few rock steps and you needed momentum to get up them. In those days there was no limited slip diffs etc so when your wheel left the ground, well you get the picture.

Your trip was obviously not too long ago but you may be interested to know the D6 Dozer you passed on Green Hills Trk has just today got to the Telstra Tower on Cobb Spur Track. On a good day it will achieve a distance of about 800m of maintenance in that country. That machine takes about 5 years to complete the maintenance of the track network in its patch…then it starts again. Some days it takes the operators 3 hours drive just to get to the dozer! Interestingly the tracks are less appealing to the masses when they are in good condition but far better for those of us who have to drive them every day!

Wonderful episode. Probably one of your best. Massive views from drone, good stabilisations in your car and good sound. And most of all, the views are spectacular. Now, i put this track on my bucket list too. Thanks from New-Caledonia. Bis bald.
