I have a small Minichamp to carry around on my keychain, and a large one like the Swiss Champ for heavy duty stuff, fishing, backpacking. My big one is getting old and I think I'll get the Swiss Champ! Thanks for helping me decide!

The most functions on a pocket knife that is still being produced, is the Swiss Champ XLT, with 46 functions. The pocket knife with the most functions ever (but highly impractical) is the Swiss Wenger Giant, with 141 functions.

Very good, except you are using the tin opener very inefficiently. The best way is ; while pressing the knife handle in towards the centre of the tin, cut moving anti-clockwise, not clockwise as you showed.

Hey buddy, thanks for nice video. Just want to let you know that you are using the can opener the wrong way - you're supposed to push forward & open the can in a counter clockwise direction (not clockwise as you've demonstrated in the video) there's a blade at the front part of the can opener designed for pushing forward/counter clock wise.

All in all, this is a good video, but the can opener sequence was painful to watch. Rock the can opener counter-clockwise, and the can will open smoother and faster. And you can avoid all those awful jagged edges.
@kevinlincicum2309
10 жыл бұрын
I'm amazed that this video showed the can opener being used in an incorrect fashion. Your video had it shown being used in reverse direction. It should travel in a clockwise direction when used.
@nerfsquad3

Nope he used it correctly he did it the way it was designed by victorinox the way they designed it have it used reversed
@10399alex

Toxic bullets You're wrong, Kevin is right. It was designed to be used in a forward motion, hence the sharp edge being on the front.

Yup, it works better forward. Also the first flat screwdriver is actually meant for philips head screws (even though it doesn't have 4 prongs). And the blade on the envelope was kinda silly and doesn't show why you need a small blade--it is meant for whittling. Otherwise, there are useful demos in this video.
@kevinmorrice

actually the small blade dates back to the real reason for the name pen knife, you would scrape the ink off a page with a small blade

SalveMonesvol Yeah lol wasn't as bad as I expected though :') I got a decent fixed knife from china really cheap but it's sharp and well made, cost like 2.50
@SalveMonesvol
8 жыл бұрын
UKWEED The thing with china is that if they want, they can. Mild steel like rebar and I beams costs only 100 dollars per ton there, and even good high carbon steel costs only $200 per ton. They just take a huge steel plate, heat it to yellow, press it with massive machinery, grind a regular edge and finish the knife en minutes. Their costs are low, butt the main difference is that their margins are VERY low, sometimes close to 1%, while here margins can be over 1000%.
