I love the Vstar and Cross Country...would be hard to choose between the two...Ive been trying to get up to Ottawa to check out the Victory bikes, Ive sat on the Vstar, but not ridden it yet... is there a huge difference in weight and height between the Vstar and CC?

Ah ok , well the cc has longer floorboards , strong motor and 6th gear , Vstar has liquid cooling, gears are a bit taller , so you don't go into 5th till about 65. Bars are better on the CC , but can get Rstd bars on the star which remedies that . Cams can't be done on the star without dropping the motor, but can do exhaust intake, and power commander or cobra Efi .. Flash for ecu is also available. I'd expect the CC to have a decent aftermarket also. The gets the advantage in price. You can get a new 2014/2014 from the dealer at about 7k or less if you search (deluxe model too) The CC new will be 19k , less for a 2016~18k .... It ends up coming down to personal preference to me ... If you want to spend more for the CC American bike, or less for the Metric Cruiser that is a proven damn good cruiser..

Meant to say you can get a new 2013/2014 Vstar 1300 deluxe from the dealer for under about 7k ... The metric cruiser market is doing to good , because most are going adventure bikes and other areas..

I felt that was a major part of the video , a human error we all make at times. Hot day, test riding bikes for 5 hours , fatigue , and reaching the limits. Mistakes happen, thankfully I didn't get hurt. Really appreciate you watching, and commenting. Thank you , and have a great day stay safe brother.

Thanks dbest for sharing. So, if you could have one bike for you and the wife to do overnight trips on what would it be? Doesn't have to be a Victory, just any bike. Ride safe and have a great day.

Man I really did enjoy this series!!, your demo ride was waaaay better than my HD demo ride. Victory really allowed you to get a good feel of the bike. HD kept ours very control and short. The stock CC has a really good set up and handles those curves nicely. Plus she loves to rack up the road miles. The stage 1 pipes give a nice rumble but not too over powering. I. Still on the fence with that. I say add the heated grips drivers backrest lower wind deflectors, higher shield and you have a all day touring bike. Anything else is personal preference. Great series Ride safe😎

Yea pipes would be a definete for me , shoot I'd think maybe pipes cams, and intake. I saw they have a cam set for the 106 . Then get a tune on it if needed, most likely would be. Just I don't think I would spend 18k new 19k for 2017 .. Grab one second hand then mod with the good junk lol. Test ride events are iffy.. You never know what you will get. The one in Wallingford ct was a awesome demo event.

Your definitely an experienced rider and the drop just shows it can happen to anyone. It looked like it was started in gear and you accidentally released the clutch just enough to jump and go down on you. I've done that before myself but didn't drop the bike thank goodness. Glad the bike wasn't damaged at all and you were able to get back to the test ride. Never rode one but definitely would like to. That Victory seems like an amazing bike man glad for the review.

Great ride review bro, Ouch! can't believe someone left it in gear like that, I assume that's why it jumped forward causing you to tipple, lucky she didn't just go straight down to the ground, I agree with most things you say, good looking bike, personally I prefer ours for the time being, I do like the looks of the Octane though, that's a very handy camera clamp you use bro, not seen one of those before, RSM8.

Yeah , I was a bit tired at this point, this was the last ride. I don't blame anyone else, as I could have been more cautious. I do agree with preferring the Vstar, especially the being water cooled which allows us to run less cc's, and produce more power. Yet still in stock form, I thought it was nice. Now I would like to get that 18" wheel up front to replace our 16" wheel.

Yes it was a nice ride, the motor was solid. I was a little iffy on the fairing though, but I guess it grows on you. At the time for the price they were asking, I felt this was the best deal. Then just accessorize as you see fit. Thank you for watching.

Well in life things happen, and my experience to the next person, who is more "experienced " may not be very much so. Still all n all, we are all human. That said, in reality after riding all the bikes I did this day I probably should have head home. That was a long day.

Thanks for the review. The dump over in front of all those bikers must have been mortifying. Good think you had a helmet on. You hid your ohh chit face. Haha. I've done that before. When I had a Ultra Limited. That thing was a pig. I dumped it at the bank once. I hopped off and had it back upright before anyone noticed. I think. Haha. I had a Cross Country before and the wind buffeting was horrible. My head was beat up. Maybe you're taller than me. I'm 5'9". Even with the addition of a windscreen it didn't help. I eventually traded it in on a Street Glide. But I'm missing my Victory. The Harley suspension is just inadequate. Do you remember if the stripped model had abs and cruise control? There's 2016 out there for a great deal now. At least here in Texas are some.
@dbest1aVlogs
8 жыл бұрын
I think this one had cruise control if I'm not mistaken . on the left side, but it may not have. I don't remember which side they put the acceleration controls on. I was a bit tired by this test ride. it was my last ride of the day, and I probably could have used some water. I wasn't to embraced with dropping the bike. I was a little shocked that Noone got off their bikes to help me though. The only person that did was the Instructor/ Organizer. I guess it's the world we live in. I am 5'11" so I would probably suffer from the buffeting also. Maybe lowers would help. Kind of a shame the new Street glides suspension sucks. It's one of the first mods I think most people do. Unfortunately for me I don't see going to a Victory Cross Country stock being a huge jump over my bike, aside from that 6th gear.
