If you’re getting the fusion for the paddles, don’t. Had 2 different controllers that stopped working within two months. They don’t offer replacements parts. Also the trigger stops break easily. Note: my paddles were assigned to build and edit on fortnite so it was VERY frequent use.

The Gambit is hands down the best controller I’ve used. Been using mine for nearly 2 years now and have not faced any major issues. Yes of course there’s stick drift but from my experience the controller is super easy to take apart and I’ve switched out the potentiometers on both sticks one time. That’s like a $1 fix for 2 years of use, compared to my previous power a controller where the cheap plastic paddles broke in under 2 months

I like the gambit, but it’s unreliable, I got stick drift within 2 months. Customer service were good and they sent a replacement, but after 6 months the LB button went. I ended up getting the thrustmaster e-swap S, but the thumb sticks that came with it, went pretty quick as well. In all pro controllers are pretty poor atm, the best one I had was the Razor wolverine tournament addition (original), as it lasted 14 months, but the replacement versions don’t have back buttons or look crap.

One question. I just got a brand new Razer Wolverine Ultimate. I tested its circularity right out of the box and both sticks are over 12% average error. Is that normal? I have tried a shit load of controllers and tbh the 8bitdo ultimate Bluetooth has outlasted any other controller including both elites. No stick drift and 2 buttons on the back. A charging dock. And the app saves to the firmware so the app doesn't need to be running once you save. Best value of anything. Has been great for cod, xdefiant, and anything else I've thrown at it. But the only thing it's bad at is driving games because it's full throttle or nothing.

I've had the victrix gambit for 6 months now. So far it looks good, but it may have a problem, if you use the buttons a lot everyday, the plastic paddles have these sticks that poke out to press the little buttons on the controller, these can wear down the actual buttons over time, I took them off to find plastic shavings underneath, probably only have about 4 more months in it.

at least when I look at a pro controller I expect the extra buttons, nice grips, and snazzy trigger stops. The gambit shits the bed in fancy buttonville. That being said, I would easily recommend a razer wolverine instead. Similar pricing, can come with more buttons, and you don't get any "budget" bs. Sure it may not be the fastest, but coming from someone who used to play super fast paced pvp, miliseconds don't matter nearly as much as good inputs do. Especially when you get good enough to shoot while reviving teammates or interacting with stuff.

Is there an actual controller that you'd recommend for fps shooters (with paddles/buttons) that would be the most reliable controller? As in, best reputable controller, I just want something thats not gonna crap out every other month from stick drift after paying 100-200 for a controller. From what I've seen the ones with better reputate (battlee beaver, aim) have a much lower warranty period which kinda sucks. Is it worth just getting the elite series 2 and getting the 3 year warranty? at least that way they can just replace it every time

I haven't owned any fusion controllers but I have owned the gambit. I think it's a great controller for the price but I feel as though the paddles need to be raised a little or have bumps on them so that they're easier to press. I found my hands we're getting sore after a while because I had to grip the controller so tightly in order to hit the paddles. Also there was something I didn't like about the accuracy of the stick, it felt like there was some sort of small center deadzone issue or maybe just increased thumb stick tension? Whatever it was I felt as though I wasn't as accurate as usual with that controller. I'd love to get your thoughts on what you think the best Xbox controller is currently in terms of thumb stick accuracy. For me the Thrustmaster eswap pro is king but I have had 2 of those controllers now and on both of them the thumb sticks have stopped functioning after just a month so I think I'm done with thrustmaster which is a shame because when it worked it was by far the best controller I've ever used and I've owned a lot of controllers.

As the owner of the three gambits (only paid for one) I can vouch for it as long as your batch is after the first couple runs. I also use the four button attachment fine so don't just right that off as Cuda suggests. The reason i own 3 is because my first one had an issue where the left stick actuated the right stick. Made a claim and the sent me two replacements (don't think they meant to).
@vCuda
Жыл бұрын
I've seen that issue pop up, I don't currently know what causes this. But people have reported it, and it's extremely strange. I'd assume something is wrong with the PCB the thumbsticks are attached to, instead of the sticks themselves, but I could be wrong And I didn't necessarily write off the 4 button attachment, I just said most people would likely find issue with it since there were many who wrote reviews/comments stating they did. A lot of 4 button/Paddles users are very specific about it being 4, so I ensured they had the best recommendation available for them!

Also I got the standard tension on my Astro c40 so it feels extremely good now it had too much tension before with the CBB extreme tension & idk I kinda like looser sticks feels more smooth. But for how expensive it is only 2 back buttons on fortnite feels like you have to sacrifice something but with the scuf I can easily use all 4 but inner ones feel awkward to double tap

Also to add the astro is huge, I'm 6'3 & I've got 8 inch long hands. Don't ask how I know how long my hands are but even I think the astro is a bit too big. Like it's comfortable if I'm playing anything other than Fortnite as in its so bulky & the way I have to grab it, it feels like I can't perform as fast with it like I could with the powerA fusion & by a really big gap the Scuf Instinct Pro. Like for example when you're t bagging the living shit out of your last opponent while shooting at your next trying to be a messy target to hit. It would feel weird sometimes but I got use to it on all 3 controllers but the size is something I think only a few people would like
