Are the tree nails for decoration. I would expect the treensils to be lighter than the greenheart, so would be very noticeable

Wow you are insane!. I built Montanes 1:72 in a year, i should have done the treenails. On my next build i will!👍

That is an excellent question and for 1:72 it is doubtful that they could be seen. So it entirely your call. As the scale get larger it become more important. At 1:48 they certainly can be noticed and as such should be used in a scratch built model. In a kit or bulkhead model I am not sure I would bother.
