I notice you got some dye near the tounge area inside liner by the top.what do you do about that? Do you remove the dye or leave it ?

Dear Q Bui, thank you for your detailed question. Firstly I would like to specify that these tutorial videos are primarily made for the use and function of the product, and due to time restraints not all the work process was shone. For example, the best thing to do before starting a dyeing phase would be to tape off with masking tape, the areas of the shoes that you do not want to get dyed. Careful attention must be taken when applying the dye with a brush. In the inside liner area, you can either decide to leave it or actually apply it evenly so it is all colored and therefore less noticeable. You could also try to fade the color with our DECAPANTE leather stripper, however keep in mind that our dyes are permanent and will not come off. I hope this helps. May I ask if you have already purchased our products and where you are from?

I'm planning on doing this to some leather smeakers I ordered. Do you think it'll worth with white leather? Sorry that's an obvious question.

is it possible to dye a pair of black boots brown ?

Thank you for your question. If you are using a penetrating dye, it is very difficult, if not impossible. You would need a 'covering' dye to change the color. Usually with penetrating dyes you can go from a lighter color to a darker color. Not the opposite. I hope that helps answer your question.

Is it impossible to dye black shoes to a different color?
@lmprofessionalshoecareprod8117
2 жыл бұрын
Hello, thank you for writing. It is possible to change the color of a black shoe but not with a dye. Our dyes are 'penetrating dyes' and solvent based. These are good for permanent dyeing of the leather all the way through, not just on top. With dyes you cna only go from a light color to a dark color of shoe. However with our LM Cover Paint, you can change a black shoe to just about any color you would like. Cover Paint grips to the material but has a 'covering' effect on the material. It remains flexible and doesn't flake off. Hope this helps Freddie. Kind regards

How can you remove leather dye?
@lmprofessionalshoecareprod8117
3 ай бұрын
Hello, technically leather dye cannot be removed as it is a permanent change to the leather color deep down. By using a leather stripper, like our Decapante, you are able to remove the top finish on the leather and a little bit of the dye color, but not enough to say you have completely removed all traces of the color. Hope this helps. Thank you for asking. Have a nice day.🙂

Hello, yes you can use our LM Leather Dye on boots, as long as they are real leather, as our dyes are penetrating solvent based dyes.

I picked up a pair of light tan leather moccasins cheaply as the shade varied slightly. Can I dye them brown without getting the shade difference or would I need to dye them black?
