LOL oh MAN I remember "The Dry Look" like it was yesterday! My brother used that stuff so much, it made his hair start to fall out! Good Grief "oriental houseboy" - imagine trying that today on television - YIKES!!

Hi Fred as usual great nostalgia. The superhero Dry Look ad is hilarious. Fact:Did you know that that special John Ritter is advertising Who Are the DeBolts when on to win the Oscar as Best Documentary feature? Also, love the Roy Rogers hat. Could you imagine such a thing today? And many of the Whirlybirds episodes were directed by Robert Altman. Again, thanks for bittersweet memories. Scott

Sea Lab 2020 came out in 72 after watching a few episodes my best friend and I made up this game where we would turn his bathroom sink water wide open and use towels trying to stop it, simulating an emergency repair of a leak in the underwater lab and of course water went everywhere, his mother did not appreciate our game.

Nice job, Fred. 0:13 - "Next, in cullah". I guess Liz sometimes had a New England or NYC accent. This must be in the later years, after the neat integrated Chevy & Quaker Oats ads from the B&W seasons. 2:13 - I don't remember this game having any absolute clunks. Even the bad choices led to some kind of small prize at least. 6:23 - This special Wednesday night broadcast was on Feb. 14, 1979. A new episode, "Rally 'Round the Flagg, Boys", the last featuring Col. Flagg, was aired on a special night since CBS preempted the show Mon., Feb. 12, to show Part 2 of "Gone with the Wind". 6:53 - A clip from the fore-mentioned episode. My parents & some neighbors got to be in the audience for the taping of "Dolly & Carol in Nashville" at the Grand Ole Opry House. My mom even took a couple pics of the show from her seat, back when that was allowed. 7:57 - I recognize Dick O'Neill in that clip. He appeared on MASH 3 times as high-ranking Navy, Army & Marine officers. 11:05 - This is the first time I've seen Stanley Fafara outside his recurring role as Beaver's friend, Whitey, on LitB. He was Beaver's only friend who appeared in all 6 seasons of the show.

@@jehobden Of all the kids on the show, among my friends I was the most "Whitey-like." I was short, blonde hair, smart-alecky and just the kind of kid who would talk another kid into doing something stupid or dangerous without actually doing it myself. Didn't get into heroin, though.
