In Vietnamese, only three vowels can combine with the final consonants --nh/-ch. They are written as i, ê, and a. So we have three pairs as follows:
inh / ich
ênh / êch
anh / ach
Here are some common examples: anh, thích, bệnh viện, định, sách, etc.
