Rounding rhymes are rhymes that contain one of the three rounded vowels u, ô, o, and one of the two final consonants -ng and -c. They proves to be one of the major pronunciation issues for students due to their "special" pronunciation.
Respectively combining three rounded vowels u, ô, o and two final consonants -ng, -c, we have six rhymes as follows:
-ung -ông -ong
-uc -ôc -oc
When we pronounce words containing one of these six rhymes, we have to close our lips.
A lot words and sentences containing these rhymes are provided in the video for you to practice. Let's go for it!
