Getting to the design, it is small and sleek and fits comfortably in an average-sized pocket. You also get replaceable plates with which you can change the colors on the top and you get three color options for that. Talking of ports, you get a MicroUSB port for power and recharge, a USB2.0 Type-A port, etc. You have a speaker grille on the right and on the left, you have a metal bar (where you can latch the lanyard cable), a toggle button, a reset pin, LED indicators, IR receiver, and an HDMI 1.4 input port.
However, if the onboard controls are not convenient for you, you also get a remote controller that works just fine.
The M1 Mini is a lamp-free projector with an LED light source that has a rated brightness of 120 LED lumens. In terms of pixel count, it has an FWVGA resolution of 854 by 480 pixels at a 16:9 aspect ratio with support of up to FHD videos.
Likewise, the rated lifespan of the LED light source is 30,000 hours which converts to 4 hours of use every day for 20 years. This one is a short-throw projector with a throw ratio of 1.2 and a throw distance of 0.64 to 2.66 meters. What this means is the M1 Mini casts a big image even though the surface and the lens are quite close. It has a fixed optical zoom too. So, you will have to fix the position of the projector to adjust the image.
The M1 Mini has 50 ANSI lumens. In terms of color accuracy, it does not represent the most accurate colors, as it oversaturates green color and red hues in it look pinkish. The M1 Mini is capable of playing the most basic video files with similar encodings. It does not support soft- coded subtitles though hard-coded files work just fine.
In terms of audio, you get 2W mono JBL speakers on the left side. The music of it is loud enough for an average-sized room. For the battery, it has a 5,000 mAh battery that gave me 2 hours of endurance in normal and about 15 minutes more in eco mode.
