I wasn't able to make it to the vigil, but I spoke to my cousin in Humboldt who was there. She said that it was so overwhelming... in one day, the lives of friends and community members are lost or shattered, and then the next day, famous people like Don Cherry, Ron McLean, and Justin Trudeau are standing in your midst. It's so overwhelming for all of us... but the outpouring of love and kindness like yours and countless people around the world are helping to lift our hearts through this dark time. Thank you for standing with us.

Are you seriously putting ads in video for the loss our own, everyone is mourning while you're making ad revenue? Discusting
@alanadawnew2172
6 жыл бұрын
Jaysterbaby couldnt agree more!! Making profit from people dying is disgusting!! Companies that do that, lost my respect and will boycott that every day!! And whats more, any person or company should donate all those profits to the Humbolt Hockey Team lost and injured boys and their families!!
@Jaysterbaby

Exactly, Thank you for that. I've seen people riding the trend to promote their business and do things like this where they make a video of something tragic and then post ads on the video to gain revenue, and a News station of all things.. truly unbelievable. As we came out of the Vigil ceremony in Humboldt, there were spotlights and cameras in our faces. Its like "just let us grieve in peace. So what if its one of the biggest tragedies to hit Canada. Im not all for that publicity stunts they pull.

Tomorrow night the Golden Knights play game four against the Jets. Way more importantly, it is time to remember what you all have gone through with this horrific tragedy. Last night, the two sons and widow of Coach Haugan spent time with Marc-Andre Fleur at the game. It is not forgotten here what you lost, like the 58 killed here on October 1. Our team doesn't forget, and neither do we. Our prayers are here for you to find comfort and peace. We might be a long ways from the hockey capital of the world (your home of Canada), but we still care. May God bless you all.

The media still haven’t released the identity of the semi-truck driver. In accidents like these information about the identities involved are always quick to come up but in this case the identity of the truck driver who ignored the stop sign still remains hidden....I wonder why?

I have a problem with all the money that has been raised. How much of it will actually be distributed properly? Who's in charge of the funds? Too many organizations take a large chunk of the money as so called "administration fees." Here's a big one. Do the families of those killed need the money? The funds should go to a cause that would assist the entire community. New and upgraded equipment for the local hospital, upgrades to the hometown arena shelter and meals for the homeless. I am always very skeptical of these fundraisers.

Rob Tro: funeral costs, medical costs for those players hospitalized (time spent in hospital and costs for those with lasting injury - one player for example is facing being a paraplegic), memorials and possible scholarships etc. The biggest cost I imagine would be to support the families who have been uprooted and travelled to Humboldt and Saskatoon for an unknown amount of time to be with their sons in hospital, or to bury them. It's true that GoFundMe takes a portion of the funds raised (which I dislike), but please recognize that the money will be used well. I say this as a member of a family that - on the kindness of friends and strangers alike - was able to stay afloat while dealing with a terminal emergency. Costs should be the last thing on these families minds right now.
