I rode this road in last summer (-20) and it's absolutely amazing. Had to take it twice 🤭 If anyone reading this, planning to ride this road, at "Blåsjön" you can find a small road over to Norway, there is a great camping site and you can ride the "old gravel road" over the mountains with lovely views as a short sunset trip. It's absolutely astonishing nature. Gäddede, after Vildmarksvägen also have a gorgeous camp site next to the sea with "våfflor & hjortron". ❤️ Thank you for sharing this video. So nice work you've done 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 And your Swedish is almost better then lots of Swedish people 😊 Looking forward for next week

@@Got2Go I think there was about a 150 meter climb the last couple of kms before the waterfall. Maybe not so bad on a motorcycle, but on a very heavy loaded bicycle it was horrible. Nice video :-) Yes you missed the most imposant waterfall called Hällingsåfallet. Northern Europe,s largest and deepest canyon (800 meters long) and the water is falling about 50 meters. Specially in the spring there is a lot of melting water coming down and it is very spectacular. But you missed Gaustafallet on Blåsjönfjället too. Also Bjurälven with Leipikvattnet, an underground river that you can see trough big holes in the ground, and the coral caves, and also the Sami village and church in Ankarede with its beautiful waterfall. There is al lot to see here to spent your whole holiday. Maybe next time :-)
@Got2Go
3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the nice comment. Yes, we missed out on Hällingsåfallet, there I really wanted to go - the other waterfalls and villages we missed out "on purpose" as we didn't have so much time and therefore decided to do a couple of waterfalls and one sami village (somehow Fatmomakke seemed more "appealing" to me. If you had time to visit only one - would it be Fatmomakke or Ankarede?)
@rapalaron6348
3 жыл бұрын
@@Got2Go Tanks for your answer. Yes time is always the problem on holidays. I have never been in Fatmomakke (shame), so it is hard to say to you what i prefer. I do like Ankarede and it is a little hike upp to that waterfall but it is worth it. Maybe i will take at trip to Fatmomakke when Stekenjokk is open again. Just now there is still a lot of snow but i can see the sun again and the days are getting longer. The river from Hällingsåfallet is still frozen, but it can break open the next days, than meters of ice are pushed forward and that ice is even falling trees that stand in its way. Even the Hällingsåfallet bridge disappeared once that way. Really spectacular sight with that ice. Maybe we will meet some day there. It is only 5 minutes from where i live :-) Take care.

This is a most beautiful depiction of our inland, thank you for getting this out there! I went this trip the other way around in the summer of -19 and just knew I had to go again, I've been to Stekenjokk many times before but never on bike. Unfortunately last summer was a all-time record of tourists in the area and I felt no need to burden the road even more. This summer I will try again. Last time I went from Örnsköldsvik by the coast, by Junsele, Strömsund, Gäddede, in through Norway and the most amazing view from those small gravel roads over the mountains. Out to Blåsjön in Sweden again, over Stekenjokk and a short stop at a friends cabin just off Trappstegsforsen where you stopped. Further on through Vilhelmina, Åsele and back to the coast again after about 23 hours on the road. I so desperately want the season to begin now. Ride safe and please do come by ÖMCC if you ever pass by Örnsköldsvik.

You did this vlog very smart by saving up the entire trip and only posting one video a week to keep the channel going through the winter. When I did my 9 day trip last July I made a total of 12 videos about 12-15 mins long and posted them all within a few weeks. Now in the heart of winter Im so desparate to put up content Im posting videos of taking winter hikes and riding my snowblower. Needless to say, it's not really catching the attention of motovlog viewers lol. You were also quite lucky with such calm weather that you could do a lot of droning. Windy, rough weather can ruin chances of doing a drone video so easily!

Thank you - even though I have to admit I didn’t save it up on purpose to have more to post over the winter. It’s just that the editing with picking the right music, voice overs and so on are a lot of work and i can’t spend more time on it than I already do. Otherwise I would have preferred to post two episodes a week at least. There is already a lot of new content that I have in mind for the channel but that I can’t do yet because the current editing needs all the free time I have... 😒

Elegant! That sounds very nice. ☺️ I am 1.78 meters or 5 10. so pretty tall for a woman. This GS is as well borrowed so there is a extra high seat on it - if it was mine I would take the normal one, because I struggle a bit if it’s uneven or if I have to turn it somewhere because I can’t put my foot flat on the ground.

Lea you always manage to find such beautiful and interesting locations on your rides. And the photography is excellent. Just curious, how many hours riding per day do you aim for on average ? Thanks for another wonderful video. Cheers, Dan. 🏍👍🇨🇦

It’s really very different from day to day - but if I ride I don’t mind riding long. For me the perfect day is getting up early and starting at about 6 am, arriving at 3 so I still have some time to as well see a bit of the surrounding in daylight. But it’s as well not so often that this happens - you know, all my picture stops take always a long time 😂 What do you prefer?

@@Got2Go If the weather is good I don't mind a long day ride but I also get distracted by interesting scenery and will stop to get photos which takes time. I avoid night riding unless absolutely necessary. Which bike do you prefer , Tenere or GS. ?
