I feel like the album title (cover) is in reference to how gold fish grow much larger than you'd ever expect when let loose in the wild, whereas they stay small relative to their container size. Similarly to how a person trapped in the confines of someone else's paradigm, behind bars, or in their own mind can never reach their full potential as long as they're stuck there. Break free of those restraints and you can grow much larger than anyone would've expected.

it also could be a testament to how vince had the same type of come up, he got into trouble often and lived in a city where the people in his position don’t make it out, so he was trapped mentally by the status quo, until he discovered music and realized he was talented enough to make something out of it and made it out because of it.

this album is masterful conceptually and sonically, the best hip hop album of 2017 by far. since summertime 06 and primma donna vicne has proven himself as one of the most introspective and personalised rappers/artists. great artists constantly challenge themselves and push boundaries, vince has done that and succeeded

Nah idk about that, this album definitely sounds expensive af considering what Vince's budget might be. It might have been risky by making it as experimental as it is and not commercializing it more. That being said, I see a lot of people now giving the album love, so it probably worked out for Vince in the end

The futuristic sound was inspired by Christian Rich, they produced most of the album. They've got a couple of projects which have this same experimental sound, their album FW14 is pretty dope

This album is amazing. You almost guessed the concept, but you were still off. This is about the african american community. This production reminds me of yeezus. This album is great
