Anyone know a spring reverb tank I can put in that would fit? Mod, accu? Thnks

The original is mounted to the amp chassis which limits what will bolt right in, but if you don’t mind extending the cables, you can put in either Mod or Accu, even the longer ones, but make sure that you get the high impedance input (I think around 500 ohms). The usual Fender ones are an 8 ohm input and they won’t work well for this circuit.

Got a chance to buy one of these that’s had the ‘furlan mod’, new creamback and NOS Mullards… Sounded great on video. Cranked these are plexi-killers… So tight. Thanks man!

Great demo and playing! Like your horror-movie style time lapse? moving around and micing the amp, and the useful commentary. I'm thinking of buying a YGM-4 so I appreciate how you thoroughly demoed the ins and outs of the amp. Great sounds!

Thanks a lot! Very glad you found it helpful. Will be using it in future pedal combination/comparison videos. It's a real workhorse! Hasn't let me down for 11 years straight...many live shows. Here it is in use when my band Kicking Souls opened for George Thorogood when he came to Sarnia, ON (they put a mic on it of course) kzitem.info/news/bejne/w3du4IaMbYdkgpw

Been using it for 11 years with no problem. Live gigs, recording, patries...you name it! It's been around, and I wish it could talk so it could tell me what happened between 1969 and 2010. Here it is in use live when my band Kicking Souls opened for George Thorogood in Sarnia ON... kzitem.info/news/bejne/w3du4IaMbYdkgpw (they put a mic on it )

0:40 Start a loop switching mics from amp to external speaker cabinet. Dry signal. 1:45 adds tremolo..yay! But still kinda dry. 2:13 finally some reverb. 5:48 trying vintage Pyramid guitar likely from the 60's as well. 8:00 now lets turn it up with a Gibson guitar. Tube (valve) overdrive!!! 9:28 clips using the sound of the camera microphone (iPhone 6)

Hi don, i just inherited your exact amp and its going in to a vintage traynor amp tech to get a check up. After lots of research on the white face model i am confused about two things on mine. I took the back off and the speaker has a huge square magnet? The other weird thing is the serial number. In your video i can make out i think your 5 digit serial # 21346? I saw one other 1969 white face and it also had a 5 digit serial number. Mine only has 3 didgits? S/N is 616? In researching the white face amps they were custom made for a canadian music conservatory school only in 1969. My serial number doesn't fit and mayb it predates 1969? I am hoping the amp tech can shed some light on this mystery.

not sure about your serial number but the stock speaker did have a square magnet. It was a Marsland. looked like this... www.tdpri.com/threads/1968-69-traynor-ygm-2-in-need-of-tlc.977576/

@@DonBeckett mine is twice as big as the one in the picture but at least your picture tells me that marsland made a square magnet. Mine might be an earlier marsland version as it looks way rougher that your pic.

Did you replace the speaker? I have this exact amp 1969 white face. It has an Fender braced Eminence speaker.

I replaced original with Celestion 12" Seventy 80. That’s also what is in the external cabinet. Awesome amp.
