Thanks Keith, I never really gave the BigWig any attention...it's better than I thought it was. Definitely a fun build like most Tamiya kits. The body came out great (in my opinion obviously). I'm curious to hear the reaction on the color choice.

Thanks Joe!...I actually snapped a front arm on the second run 😢. I have one coming in soon. I'll have a video on the body, but I won't be fully running this till it warms up. Parts are getting hard to find too.

It looks really nice! I won't lie, I did laugh when you clicked the "rubber" boots together! Those things are so far from rubber now. I hope you can get them restored to something that doesn't click together! Looking forward to seeing it in all it's glory!

You have no idea...they basically felt like hard plastic. I was able to bring them back to life fortunately. This is the one big flaw of the BigWig, the steering is actually good...but the boots are an issue. By the way, I think the body came out great. Love the colors I chose, I'm not going to give it away...but it isn't blue lol.

I always wanted a Big Wig but being a kid with limited funds the Hot Shot II had to do. Tamiya needs to re-release this one!

Yes! I hope they do...I need spare parts, once the nice weather comes I'm running this one. Thanks for watching!

Nice one 😊 yeah the Bigwig seems not as "loved" as some others; but with 4 shocks, the unique body and the Technigold, it deserves more. I have one original to restore, but some parts are so hard to find (mostly the incredibly brittle sub chassis) 😢 Nice tip on the heating of the screws, just how long do you leave the iron on it ?

Well...I broke a front lower arm on the second run, and I was lucky to find one on eBay. Still waiting for it. Other than that it's perfect, I do have some spare parts but not a chassis. I plan on running this in the spring once it warms up. I learned my lesson already... running brittle plastic in the cold is not good 😢 I heat them up for like 10/12 seconds with my iron on them. But they are all different, so don't take that as the rule. I can feel them turning in smooth and with little resistance. I stop once I feel it hit the end and I don't put anymore pressure on it. I've done this for a while now on the more brittle arms and I haven't had cracking. You can also get rid of the pins and go with hinge pins and e clips, but it's hard to find them in the right size. Sorry for the long response!
