Congrats on the win, John! In retirement, five or six hours of sleep per night is my norm. But I compensate by catching a cat nap or two during the day. Love that Motobecane, one of my favorite vintage makes. My own is a fully rebuilt (by me) 1980 Grand Sprint, made of Vitus 888 and marketed as a training bike. Not valued by collectors, but precious to me since my own 1979 model, which I worked an entire summer to buy while I was an undergrad and rode thousands of miles. Sadly, that bike was stolen during one of my deployments with the US Navy. I was happy to welcome its replacement.

What a video! Keep ‘em coming, John! Congrats on the win. Wish I could go next year but I refuse to get on an airliner, and private charter just isn’t practical. Here I am talking about practical and I own an exotic bike. Nothing we do with bicycles has anything to do with “practical,” I was holding my breath and just waiting for you to say ‘Three Rensho”. You didn’t disappoint. Of course the awards announcer….

So much cool stuff! Robbie's insane Colnago is just incredible! It looks like something Elvis might have ridden. :-) The blue cromovelato Magni is similarly amazing. ICS did a handful of curious little tweaks to the components, which is a lot of fun. All of Gary's bikes, like his Jo Routens, have been a lot of fun to look at, with all sorts of novel and fascinating little gadgets. Where does he find this stuff?? Very fun to see Jeffrey Bock again, as well as Doug Fattic, Harvey, Marcus, etc. Great folks.

AMF was a sports company in Canada in the 80's. Marinoni's should have a serial number under the bottom bracket. If you send it to them, they can usually give some info or build sheet. Also they will paint and restore their old frames. More info on their website about how to contact them. I have a Marinoni Piuma from about 1999/2000. They emailed a copy of the original build order. Just for asking.

Soooo sick!!! I'm into converting vintage bikes to single speed/fixed gear but these are insanely beautiful! The best thing about older bikes is the swag!!!!. Soooooo many different colors, shades, and tones with complimentary components to match. Everything is black today and it sucks! The only vintage bike I have that's untouched and "rare" is a lotus super pro aero. The oval tubing and color is sick!! It is missing the original wheels but that's it. Oh and one bar end cap.

Wow, what beautiful memories. In 1980 I bought a CUEVAS frame, built and signed by Francisco Cuevas. He had a shop in New York. He was a Spanish builder. It is outfitted with Campagnolo Nuevo Record components and some Cinelli and Phil Wood bottom bracket. I also have 2 sets of wheels. One with sew-ups and the other clincher tires. I haven't ridden it in decades. Has anybody ever heard of him?

I spent hours drooling over bike catalogues, really loved the track bikes. Still ride a steel frame single speed/fixie, however I am really wanting to build a steel road/gravel
