Over the years, I have owned every one of these, but I was a youngster, so they have all disappeared. My grandfather gave .e the .other kf pera style, and it hurts to think of it. It was abou1 90 years old when 10:06 he gave it to me. They were engraved with your company name and given out to loyal customers who bought wholesale.musr be 120 years lld

Good video. I picked up a old case xx 6269 1940-64 red bone congress at a garage sale for $1. It was sitting under some old tools in a old metal carry toolbox i was digging through. It was a rare nice find especially a case.

I love to hear these stories. Great score...I can only imagine what you felt when you moved those old tools to reveal the Case knife below. I found an old 6488, 10 dot in an antique store for $10 and I still think about that deal! Thanks for watching!

I truly enjoyed your 3 videos, very good. I have a question I hope you can clear up for me. Concerning the CASE handle medallion, some have CASE circled and some don't. All I've ever heard about it is the ones that are circled are bone handles and the ones not circled are not bone. That doesn't seem to be the CASE now though. (Pun intended)

Hello and thanks for watching! Yes, I believe I know what you are talking about. Some of the shields have an inscribed oval around the word Case and some do not. From my experience, the knives without the oval have delrin (imitation jigged bone) handles. This seems to be a development in the 1970s to introduce a more budget friendly line...or the supply of bone was limited.

@@oldpocketknives168 Thanks for the quick reply. I noticed at the 5:00 minute mark in this video where you are showing the Slim Line Trapper, the CASE is circled but you said the handles are Delrin. That's what has thrown me in the past with knives I've bought in the 80's and 90's that had Delrin handles and the CASE was circled. If I'm not mistaken, it was sometime back in the 70's when I asked about the difference and was told the circled ones were bone and the not circled ones were not bone. I worked with a guy in 1979 that had a franchise with CASE and he sold me a new 1980 model Sharkstooth and a Trapper for $35.00 before they hit the market. I've still got the Sharkstooth. It's never been used and I never even put it in the leather scabbard that came with it. I carried and used the Trapper and broke the Spey blade on it. A friend of mine wanted it so I gave it to him. It would be nice if we could find a deal like that today. Thanks again.

I think you just help me identify a knife that I bought awhile back. It looks exactly like the Buffalo same shape, same size. But mine had no markings on it whatsoever, I thought maybe was an Old camp king or something.
