Those Heddon Vamps are badass , Especially that the spook you thought was 1960-ish. The Mann’s are cool always dug the Fat Alberts. Cool video .. Thanks for taking the time to do it.

Thanks Brian! I actually had one manns lure given to me from a salesman rep for Tom. He said he got that from a box of lures Tom had in the trunk of a big ol boat car, can't remember the make but he said he grabbed a handful and told the guys he was with to try them out as it was some new color at the time. I still have it, and it looks like the fat Albert but didn't have the embossed side letters. If I get a chance, I will do a video on some of the unique pieces that we have aquired....salesman samples and unfinished lures etc.

D, I have 2 big o full size cranks, the white w the rear dot,and a white w green top forward dot. And yes they are same subtle difference, slimmer body under bill,vs.the newer fat body. The weight chamber is slightly moved back compared to the older ones, if you hold up to light you can see slight difference of location. I was so pumped to find these, and I didn't notice the difference, except the dots were opposite. But now I see the other difference as well. Thx D!

Stainless cup on the tail is definitely an older Dominican Republic made Bagley

Bagley baits were so bad about breaking the lips that in the 80’s they came out with this reinforced lip that was two thicknesses deep on the bottomside on the lip and by then they also did away with the lead in the lip .I think I find more of the 80’s style reinforced lips with the silver hangers that are cracked than the 70’s style lips with the lead ballists

I once found a box full of the ones with the grubs attached at tail. Little did I know about bagleys back then. Listed some and got a big surprise at what they sold for.

It’s sad that the wedge bill didn’t keep them out of bankruptcy.I have new in package Bagley’s from the 80’s never been opened that the lips are cracked. The diving killer B2 seems to be the biggest culprit.I heard Jim Bagley was in Ft Worth back when Cabela’s had their grand opening around 06.I missed an opportunity to meet an icon.

I know, right? Those wedge bills are very close to some of the lures that have a large fan base nowadays.

If I remember right the older gold eye Heddons with cross eyed or crooked dotted pupils were more desirable?

The gold eye ones are more sought after because they were the first run types. The pupils just varied alot but even on some of the newer ones. The 2 piece hardware were older and tougher.
