Interesting history on this guitar. Love the fact that Rory played one. He in my opinion one of the most underrated guitarists on the planet. Such a tragic story....well done Matt, great find...the checking on this one is off the hook. Like you not a fan of the headstock. It's too skinny. The tuners, IMHO, gotta change those out. I now own this guitar and let me just say that she is great! Very cool story on how I came across this guitar and found out that this is the guitar I now own. I went to Guitar House of Tulsa to take a look around and saw this old melody maker on a guitar stand in the middle of the store. I picked it up and played it unplugged and knew I had to have it from that moment without even plugging it in. I made a trade deal and walked away with the guitar. Once I got to a friends house I was researching on KZitem before a gig to find other melody makers that had humbuckers to get a reference of how it would sound. I then run across this video that I had watched when it came out 2 years before. I then very quickly realized that I had got my hands on this exact guitar! What are the odds! Thanks for the documentation Matt and I promise to keep her on the road and making music🤘🏼
