What did you guys think of the shorter format? It makes it easier for me to put out more videos if they aren't as long. I want to reduce the amount of fast forwarding people do as well. Let me know your thoughts below. Have good evening Fam!

The car with the metal base was one of the first Olds 442 police cruisers that came out after the original 1971 Spectraflame Olds 442. These are redlines and never had black trunks or hoods, that is someone's artwork, lol. They were all white enamel. What also gives this away as the first generation Olds 442 cruiser is the separate red cherry on top and the opening hood. Notice the glass also has a greenish tint. Many of these have been converted to clones of the Spectraflame original release. There were a couple different metal bases on the first generation olds police cruisers, and the early ones had stickers on the doors before they transitioned to tampos. Later releases had plastic bases and blackwalls, just like the ones driven by officer Grady! 😆
@adambeckett8394

I might be totally wrong, but I had a look at the online redline guide, and it shows it under 1969 as a Police Cruiser. It was apparently used again in 1970 as the Fire Chief's car. It seems to have had a few paint scheme variations, some of which look like they might be quite rare.
@DT99race
5 жыл бұрын
@@adambeckett8394 The 1969 police cruiser was based on the Plymouth Fury, not the Olds 442. The version I'm referring to was the Olds 442 police cruiser, which came out after the original Spectraflame Olds 442 casting released in 1971, not 1970 (my bad, was going off memory, lol). I've corrected my original post, thanks!
@hestheMaster

Two perfect examples of the last version of the 442 police cruiser. Excellent decal repros! BTW they never had black trunks or hoods. They were painted black enamel paint by a previous owner. Original version had a red gumball light and the sides were a sticker that had a badge and the word police on it. These cars looks way better now! Can't wait until you get a scale donut shop to park in front of. This IS a great format. Didn't like watching the paint drying part of your older vids,ha,ha.

Hot Wheels - The only reality where an Olds 442 was ever a police car 😆 That third cruiser has had some paint added to the hood and trunk for sure, but it IS a different car than the other two. If you look closely, you'll notice it actually has the door lines on it plus the base includes the front suspension whereas the later ones don't. It's an early version of the police cruiser, almost exactly the same as the original 442 save for the lights on top and the name on the base. It's popular with customizers because the door lines make it a more convincing 442 conversion.

I have names for the Police Cruisers since they are twins. One is called Rader and the other is called Jammer. And maybe the green windshield and the red siren is white and US, while the build windshield and blue siren is from Hong Kong. I don't know anything about Hot Wheels but it's a guess. Keep the lonely green windshield, with red siren police car till it gets a partner so you will have two for each. Edit: I know its late but if the twins are from Hong Kong maybe some Hong Kong Police decals.

GREAT to see you back! If you like Bud Light, you'll enjoy Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. Tomarts hot wheels guide shows only white police cars with red and blue lights. I think I found a solution for wheels so you don't have to use brass tubes and glue. I was at Wal-mart today and found some 2mm crimp tubes. they may be the answer to securing the end when you use 2" head pins for the axle replacement.
