Really enjoyed this video. One of the things that popped into my head was…I wonder about the life of each person that goes with the portraits/paper dolls etc . Little did they know that Tim Holtz would make them famous.

This is amazing! I'm a new subscriber, looking forward to binge-watching all your videos. I'm a firm believer in historical grunge... the one thing I'll comment on is that the military uses brass for rivets and fasteners, etc. because they're the cheapest and hold up well. Good thing, because I have tons of them! Thanks for getting my brain moving!

Toni, It NEVER ends up like it was in your head, that's the discovery of creating, yeah? I love that you named your dogs Ernie and Bert. Now just give them their own NYC apartments and they'll be set! With all the stamping you do, I am curious why you don't try masking rather than wiping off the stamp of ink you don't want (noticed this in the dangle tags post you made prior to this post), You can use washi (washi you don't like) to cover what you don't want to stamp and then peel away after you stamp, or just lay down scrap paper over the surface you want to protect. that way you get a lot of precision and no ghosting. And look at that! Just as I wrote all this, you *JUST* did what I suggested on the front of the first ID folio. You did a great job on that foliio and there are even tiny toadstools on it! Fantastic!
@CraftybyToni
Жыл бұрын
Aww thank you so much sweetheart, I kinda find the washi tape a bit of a faff as just grabbing a wipe that I've always got next time and just wiping it plus I'm too sentimental about my washi tape 🤣🤣
@lightbulbnirvana
Жыл бұрын
@@CraftybyToni I get you! I was trying to think of something that sticks to mask the surface that's also easy to peel away without hurting the surface. That's why they call it masking tape after all! ☺ Just regular scrap paper can be good enough as well. What's cool about masking is that you can maneuver so much more life out of a stamp by just using a part of it, just like you showed with your dangles. I am amazed how many stamps you have. You are a stamping ace! (♠)

Absolutely brilliant! I love this and if I ever find more time I will probably try to do one. Also I think I forgot to comment on your video making the amazing little silver distressed charm tags….love these! I went to my hardware store all excited to buy some silver flashing tape for the project and they only had one brand…3M….which that company had stamped their 3M logo all over the silver tape so it wouldn’t work then for me to stamp my things on it….duh…why did they do that! I did remember I had some type of silver foil Sizzix paper stuff that’s shiny so might try it. Anyways if all else fails I’ll try my aluminum foil…thanks for all these awesome videos!
@CraftybyToni
Жыл бұрын
Aww that's no good ☹️ but I have used tin foil (in Halloween video) and it works just as good as the tape if not easier because you can fill a bigger space then a strip of tape 😂
