@@fairwind8344 Same, I don't mind the lip shape itself but they look stupid when I smile. The corners of the upper lip are so thin they dissappear against the gums, making the middle look like a weird bump. It doesn't help that I have a crossbite but not terrible teeth, so all those things combined make my whole smile look uncanny in a way you can't really pin down until I point out the specifics.

I watch 1920 -1950 films constantly and the cupid lips is my favourite. I always wondered how they did it, now I know. A lot of time the women didn't even pull the lipstick to the corner so it was a perfect heart. Beautiful! Now that I know how I'm going to start wearing my lipstick like that. Luckily my top lip is heart shaped ❤

I love that Erin proudly wears clothing more than once in photographs and on film. That is the way quality garments are meant to be utilized. Disposable, mass produced textiles combined with unsustainable ‘influencers’ contribute to an ignorant falsehood that those in the media shouldn’t wear, love and appreciate an article of clothing more than once. Erin, your elegance and intellect is refreshing.

That’s the thing- people need to get lives. If you’re in the media, you don’t own the clothes…. If you’re not in the media, culture shouldn’t even effect your life😂 tbh fast fashion is a problem because people don’t have an identity, style, soul. They just want to fit in instead of standing out.

I found out why my grandparents put mothballs in their closets- and why we don't anymore. It's because moths eat true fabrics - cotton, wool, and such. Nowadays we have synthetic fabric blends so the moths don't want to chomp on them.

When I was a stupid teen I felt deeply insecure about my super thin unexistant upper lip. After considering a lip lift, a lip flip or a tattoo, I became a MUA and finally understood that this lack of shape and especially volume + long philtrum is the equivalence of shaving my brows from time to time: a canvas for undetectable endless possibilities. Every morning, I decide wich lip shape I' m gonna draw depending on the mood&look💁🏻♀️. The "thumbie" fits perfectly with my huuuuge downturned eyes. 🧛🏻♀️🖤

Erin, here's a unique method from the 1940s: my grandmother was in the WASPs (women's airforce service pilots) and helped fly planes to drop off points in WWII. Because they had no mirrors but were still expected to wear lipstick, they taught themselves to pinch their lips around the tip of the lipstick, then pull it through either side. Then they used a nail to scrape along the side to make sure they didn't miss anything, and let me tell you, decades of practice made it flawless -- she was still doing it that way in the 2000s. It was like seeing a magic trick!
