Killer job on the woofer grille. Also appreciate my first time getting user impressions of Troels' crossover.

Wow! Thank you :) Purchased this week a totaly original NS1000 from first owner .. and I'm overwelmed from it's transparency and givin' a sense of "right". Amp: Mark Levinson 383. Cables: TRM Ramses/Kimber KS. This is one of THE best products in my hifi-career for 30 ys. From '77 and playing absolutely fine.

I thought I had seen everything with Kenrick's reworkings of the NS-1000m. I was wrong. This an absolutely incredible job. The speaker as a whole is amazing but the work put into the drivers and grills brings the 1000 into current era. WOW! The outboard X-over is it's own show. * I have the stock 1000m but if I had the skill or money this is the upgrade I'd be seeking.

@@Studioincar I would have to agree with David, they look brilliant, the colour I love ( has given me the idea for my if I can get it in Australia ) I have a pair of ns1000m in transit from Japan, arriving early December 2023. I plan to upgrade the the crossover from "Troels Gravesen " which by-passes the attenuators. Lol! I have only just noticed your post but happy I did.

Wow impressive restoration and finish on these NS-1000m speakers, congratulations! I love your choice of colour for both the cabinets and the drivers. I would love to do something like this if I can find the right pair. Meanwhile I'll keep enjoying my pair of NS1000 Ebony 😊

To be honest, I think they sound incredible standard. I've had a few pairs before these ones so I could get to know them before modifying. They do sound better now as they've opened up even further, but they should sound great from stock. They're a particular sound, more like a horn or High sensitivity driver than a 3-way box design typically sounds.

Cracking restoration job - love the green colour, but if you paid around £1,200 for a beaten up pair; what would my 1983 originals be worth - they're practically mint?

@@Studioincar The condition you have managed to get these into is just incredible. Really stunning work. How much did it cost, if you don't mind me asking, to get the paintwork done. I really need to get something done like this for mine. How do you like them? Are these your main speakers?

This is just amazing!! The speakers look wonderful. It looks like you have a lot of experience with building crossovers, so I wanted to ask (if I may): I have a pair of these NS1000's, and my right speaker's tweeter is exhibiting distortion in the 3k-6k range, when playing pure test tones. They have all the original parts, so I'm wondering if you would have any thoughts on whether this is a tweeter failure or crossover failure? I'll be taking these apart soon to troubleshoot so any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Beautiful set-up! I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on the TG crossovers for my NS1000 speakers. Did you have to play with any of the resistors or tweak anything in any way to get the "right" sound out of them?

Amazing work of love with these! Absolutely Beautiful!!! I’m impressed with the sound just coming from my I Phone! I own a pair of 1000’s Ebony that are in really good condition. I would keep the cabs as is, but would look into the crossovers that you have. Did you do any upgrades to the speaker drivers? Love to chat sometime. Cheers!

@@Studioincar Ok, just found your thread over there. I see that you used a small pick-hook to get them out. I actually had tried something similar but I was using a lot of force and was afraid of breaking the sockets, so I quit before I got them out. I'll try again. Thanks.

Great video. Always like seeing someone enjoying the NS-1000s. I am an original owner and bring them out occasionally to show other audio enthusiasts. Can you share with me the design of the stands? The ones I have cant the speakers back at an angle and are probably not the best for phase alignment of the drivers. Thanks
