Awwww, bless you Alex - what a PALAVER !!!, but you got there in the end ..... 👍😊 Well done for all your hard work and once again for your (on the whole!) excellent optimistic attitude😇 Your perseverance under stressful conditions is an inspiration and a true example of 'if at first you don't succeed ........' 👏👏 Do hope that you'll be able to finally enjoy having your Van back and driving it, without any more immediate problems ....😍 🙏🤞 Can't wait to see you again ....... will we get to meet Keith in person .....??!!😜😁xx

those old things are stubborn spirited, they mean well, they just don't like change, so they'll fight and fight until they realize they are being worked on. Not their fault they do it out of routine, being 60+ years untouched and so on :D

Sorry to see you struggling, mechanically and emotionally. Remember it's more important to maintain your self than your van, though I admire your infinite patience and belief in it. "Why do things have to constantly go wrong?" Well, what do we mean by "wrong"?

Nice video. Ive gotten sick a few times when working on my old cars, bikes or camper and find it best to leave it a lone for a while and come back to it a couple of days later. Also bashed my head a couple of times when using the post basher - no fun at all. Not knocked myself out yet though. Keith seems a bit grumpy ; ) hope you can get him on side 😂

Sorry to hear you hit your head hard, things happen when we're least expecting, that's for sure. That was a lot of awkward work with that leaf spring, never! I hope will I have to do that. I have suspension helpers helping to take the load of my van, working great so far.

Perseverance paid off there. I fully understand the frustration of things going awry and the desire to sell or destroy the vehicle in question. Then it’s finally all fixed and it is your favourite thing again. If you haven’t fitted the new hoses already it might be worth getting some slightly bigger rubber hose to fit over top to protect them as they look relatively fragile and exposed under there. Even if already fitted you could split a piece of rubber hose lengthwise and fit over that way. Going to get the back straightened out and finish the blue paintwork this spring? 👍🏻

I have enjoyed all of your videos. Thank you for being a positive voice. My problem is working on the internet. I need to connect my computer to my printer and for the life of me I can’t even….However your voice of a cand attitude shines.

Great to see you back with another van episode, I've never done leaf springs and hope I never have to judging by that. Glad to see your OK after that head bashing, done a similar thing myself and its no joke!

What a mission! You got there in the end and no doubt if you did it again it would be much easier second time around! You would think that the designer would have made it possible to fit the repaired spring into the hangers before loading on the tension with the assisters? Austin 7 springs are much easier and much less tension! Well done and thanks for sharing.
