I'll tell you, when we put out the intention, sometimes good stuff happens 👍 Wilco's guitar demo is.. Killer ! He was such a solid player with a very unique and interesting technique ! For real.. JT, it was crazy! I’ve seen this record once in about 10 years...and yesterday it was sitting in a record case (like the ones you bought) on the floor of the shop. The sleeve was dinged but the vinyl is fine, so it was a nice compromise to get it for £20.00 as in the U.K. it’s normally a £60.00 plus record...in America even more I think. It was either a mad coincidence...or you are the lucky charm of the VC! 😂

TBH they arent cheap over here. You are probably looking between about £20.00-£25.00 for most, but This Charming man & How Soon come in about £30.00 plus. For some reason Panic shows up quite cheaply, maybye because the sleeve is a bit boring!

Hi Ed, yeas JAMC we’re huge Spector fans, a lot of there tunes start with the boom..de..boom..boom Spector beat. Mind you Bobby Gillespie only had two stand up drums so they were a bit limited, until he left! Try working 8 hours a day with me...the comedy soon wears off...ask my colleagues! 😂

The wet beige chinos is quite a Mark E Smith look! Am with you on the Chemical Brothers.. they remind me of a residency gig I used to do in the 90’s in Ascot called “Jagz” . It was full of rich kids who were all off their heads and signed to hip record labels owned by their relatives. They had some cool music though! …. The DJ mix album they did “Live At The Social” stood out for me as it had “Know The Ledge” mixed in!

Wow Ed, I didn’t know you were doing DJ residency. That was around my peak clubbing years which were around 93-97. I remeber rushing out to but that “Live At The Social’ , it was great, I’ve slowly been accruing a lot of the tunes off it, although ‘Know The Ledge’ is impossible to find..but Maybye my favourite hip hop tune ever. I do have ‘Mighty Fine Rocker’ though & that packet of peace Chemical Brothers remix. The Jon Carter volume was my favourite, loads of hip hop , big beat & dancehall. Hade the ‘New World’ remix of Shabba’s ‘Mt Loverman’ which gave it a great dark twist,a sort of techno meets go-go vibe!

@@Harrispilton22..It was a band residency, monthly for a while with a Jazz/Soul/Hip-hop group. Most of that band’s gigs were on the South Coast but we managed a few mini tours in Scotland, Wales and the North. Had a great rapper from Townhill Park called “El Diablo”! He was crazy!

Hey Jason! Sorry im lacking on my responses. Yeah I guess Psychocandy didn't really fit the mood of the rest of the album. I may have seen the Chems, I went to so many festivals in the nineties its all a blur. I looked at the flyer for Tribal Gathering 1996 the other day!!! , I dont remember any of it..you've got to check out that line up!! About 8 tents and 150 legendary djs. Crazy, will never be repeated. I remember the weather was crap.

Thanks for noticing the camera adjustment! 😆 I use the Madam Cyn method of rubbing a cloth with lighter fluid over it..5 mins later it just evaporates, it can also get rid of marker like a sharpie pen! What Madam Cyn doesn’t know about Vinyl isn’t worth knowing, he worked in somer of London’s finest second hand establishment for years!

Ha,ha.I think I’ve had to use that hand dryer trick..although that was when I spilt a drink down me! I’ve been after this Feelgood for about 5 years & the prices have rocketed...I’ve had to compromise on condition, but it’s the sort of record where you don’t mind some light crackle, at times the guitar just flies out, I always find that with Mono recordings!

When I was at school all my mates were into the hair metal bands like Extreme. So, I was often subjected to the horrors that genre perpetrated on music in the late 80s. Not that I was a big fan of Grunge, but at least it killed off those rock relics. Extreme were high on my list of most hated music at the time. I'd love to get hold of Dr Feelgood's first album. It does worry me that most Americans, when they hear the phrase Dr Feelgood, they think of Mötley Crüe. They can take their rock and roll umlauts and bugger off.

Ha,ha. My first proper girlfriend was a combination of ballet dancer & hair metal fanatic. We used to go out in the evening with me looking like Morrissey & her looking like she’d fallen off the back of a Motley Cru video! 😂 we lasted 4 years before splitting up over musical differences! It used to take her about 5 hours just to do her hair!

Tbh I think i would have grabbed the taxi wheel, steering us onto a full on collision with a tree rather than allow that Extreme track to go any further. Its on a par with me listening to Adele 'easy on me' a few times for unknowable reasons! Kelis, is that the one who did 'My milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard'? The NO 12" saved this video and I couldn't help thinking about the links between Dr Feelgood/Wilko and The Who. Both did a cover of Bo Diddleys I'm a Man, and Wilko n Roger did an album together that I must get. And to top that, I was recently watching (London Rock and Roll Show, Wembley Stadium 1972) on YT (some mad footage of Teddy Boys) and guess which very young guitarist is playing guitar for Heinz - C'mon Everybody? Anyway don't burn yourself out, as you can see from my channel its very much quality over quantity ; )

I have two of the versions but cant remember which ones. I'll now have to rummage in the back of the cupboard as I cant stand not knowing.

I've just bought Lenny's latest and played it today. Honestly, it's terrific. 'Down by the Jetty' fantastic album. You shocked me with its going rate though. I would sell my records and make loadsa money. I'd only buy more though.

The chemical brothers surrender album is the album that made me a fan back in the day. I always thought let forever be was one of the better songs on that album. You need to get the jesus and mary chain rollercoaster e.p. an extended play of the automatic album. If you don't already have it..totally worth it.

Hi Harris - I don't have any Extreme records or cds. Some VC guys love them ( the same ones that like Phil Collins ) Look for Scotland to shock Germany in the Euros but than drop two & not progress out of the group. Hopefully England can develop some cohesion as a team. Look really disjointed in the friendlies. Younger New Order fans aren't into Movement are they ?

Extreme thought they were funny with another hit 'get the funk out' hilarious.. not Think I've that chemical brothers in my selling pile may have to retrieve it. Don't think I have ever owned a pair of chinos yet but I'd not totally rule it out. Nightclubs with the collared shirt and shoes they wouldn't let me in with DMs or steelies. I struggle with modern R 'n' B. Well 25-30 years old R 'n' B.
