@TUCO: Vintage Vinyl Hunter Great Idea..that's the reality of picking/ digging at thrift stores.. Tuco, to me.. In The Wild" means thrift stores . because Antique Malls, record stores.. the records are already arranged somewhat, and priced higher..Flea Markets, Yard Sales, word of mouth about somebody selling records, also constitutes " In The Wild '.. as well.

"What A Long Strange Trip It's Been" .. is such a great album.. in the early 1980's I listened to that one over and over.. There's "found in the Wild"...and then there's "way out in the Wild!" Finding at a thrift store is about as "in the wild" as you can get. Maybe a garage sale is even more "wild"?

A lot of good stuff there. I noticed Leon Russell's "Hank Wilson's Back" at about the middle of your pick. I remember getting and really enjoying that album back in the '70s, even though it was outside my comfort zone of hard rock. I'll have to dig it out and give it another spin.

@@VinylHunter One time I bought 8000 records for $200. No lie. It was a girl who inherited a storage unit and she just wanted it emptied and it was packed top to bottom and front to back . Needless to say I didn’t check anything or haggle. I brought a u-haul and me and my brother loaded it up. Unfortunately I ended up throwing a lot of it away and looking back I probably wouldn’t have done it again. (Ok I would have ) , but I spent 2 months going through it and ended up with maybe 800 keepers. And only a handful were rare high end type albums . The rest were typical rock , folk , jazz , some oddball records etc. There was a lot of good records but too beat up to do anything with Between the trips to the dump, the countless hours of going through and checking every record , and sweating in my garage almost made it not worth it. But being the record junkie I am I would do it again. I have had way better scores with far less records that I paid much more for.

That is one of those surreal experiences when you see a box full of gold like that. I actually visited that Council Bluffs store several years ago when driving from Toronto to the Denver area, but didn't have the luck you did. Great finds! After all these years I thought shoes salesmen shod horses. I mean a horse might want designer shoes sometime, right? Love Nancy Sinatra and I've never seen that album in all my searches. Love the Dickey Betts albums too of course! And the Mono version of Buffalo Springfield. Used to have a first pressing of that with the rare song on it, but had to sell it (place sad emogee here)

What in the actual hell? Two dollars!! Best Black Sabbath comp LP ever at the Salvation Army. I've never seen anything like this collection. You got really lucky!!!! I bet they just put a lot of that out. Santana, The Time, 38 Special. I grew up with those Richard Pryor albums. That Chicago album is "19" and the first one after Peter Cetera left. "Will You Still Love Me" was the hit. "25 or 6 To 4" is an awful remake with the new singer.

@@VinylHunter Nebraska I think of that Springsteen album cover. Sparse? I'm near London UK but south east England is affluent so can work both ways. London generally forget it. Overpriced. Most of it is down to regular hunting and I'm sure you have same problem of keeping or selling. I sample too so then I may sell once I'm done with them, similar guy there is deok TV he's a thrifter. Yeah, i watch Deok sometimes. I live in a large city, Omaha Nebraska...of course, because of the larger population, thrift stores are more picked through by others...BUT, larger population also means the stores get more donations!!!...but, you have to be at the right place at the right time to get your hands on them! Most of the rest of Nebraska is farm land, pastures, and scattered small towns.
