Hi I know this will be a mute point for some, but I like how you don't have to be concerned about how level the ground is.Especially if the ground heaves in the winter. Thank you for answering all the questions. I have enjoyed your critique about your project. I just started researching for my project. Renovation was way too much. Thank you for your video.

How has the strips done in the cold weather?

They are fine, and work great keeping snow/rain out and able to keep heat in as long as you overlap them while working in the winter!

I believe that pattern vinyl comes in 60 and 80 mil thickness on eBay and Amazon. There's certainly a difference between them. Which did you order and did the buckled spots in the first roll flatten out in the summer sun? Are they two different thicknesses? How has your installation withstood the sun and wind? Did you pay more for the last two rolls or get them from different suppliers?

The first roll I bought was definitely a harder vinyl and did not flatten out in the sun and was prone to snapping in the single digit weather! I actually replaced that with the second set of vinyl I bought because it was more plyable almost like a rubber which is great because it would flex around vehicles and equipment and i think a better 4 seasons vinyl, it is a .06in thickness and around 80 bucks a 148 ft roll! The only negative which I dont mind is after a year of use with it the vinyl is a little cloudy to look through, but for what I needed for without spending 1000 plus for doors well worth it!! I use my little dewalt propane heater and I'm in a tshirt working on my stuff! Lol thank you for watching and good luck with your projects if you get it!👍😊

@@WhitehouseFarmVet Thank you for taking the time to answer so completely. I live w-a-a-ay out in the sticks and must buy products like these online. I don't mind $80 a roll for good stuff. In fact, that seems like a good solution for my two 6'-4 x 8-'2 indoor openings. Did you get yours on Amazon or eBay? On eBay vendors with defective merchandise sometimes price it a couple bucks below the competition. Even Amazon handles orders for vendors who reply to Qs with, "All answer your in product information".

Also fyi I used regular outdoor deck screws then ran a 2x4 sandwiching the vinyl, so it doesn't rip down and hasnt even with my excavator going in and out!

Hi, how does it react to high winds?
@WhitehouseFarmVet
Жыл бұрын
Because mine are so long 10ft plus the weight keeps them from blowing around too much but I did find if I run a couple bungee cords 3ft across the bottom even with high winds they dont move much! Thank you for watching!👍😊

@@WhitehouseFarmVet Thank you my friend! With the rising cost of everything, I want to spend as little as possible in order to transform my new all-lumber carport into a workshop, the strips are going to be just great.

@@WhitehouseFarmVet I purchased the same rolls as you and so far, so good. I noticed that if you apply heat with a heat gun on low and wisely, the creases disappear easily and for good. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones!!

I just left them as is and the creases went away over time from gravity but that's good to know! Did it change the color at all? Thank you for watching!👍😊
