Your videos really did help me with a ton of information and helped me decide on a dashcam. I got a 129. Apart from all the good things and short comings covered here, I felt a couple of things were missing and which were important for me. I wanted to have a 4 side coverage. Since there are none such around (at least I could not find it), I decided to go for 2 dashcams with a dual (front & rear) cameras. So in all 4 different views from 2 different dashcams (front & rear twice). Here is where I ran into a couple of issues that were important for me. 1.I cannot connect 2 different Viofo Dashcams to my Viofo App on my mobile app simultaneously. This is the case if both were Viofo Dashcams. I will have to decide which of the two I want to connect my mobile to. Alternatively, I will have to buy myself another mobile phone connection and then have both the Dashcam recordings in two separate mobiles. 2. The second is that I cannot connect a single A 129 to two different mobiles simultaneously. Say if I were to loose my mobile, my 2nd mobile would have all the recordings (even though the loss of my mobile would be bad, my recordings may just save the day). Imaginary/ Hypothetical ? Not really. I actually have this on a GPS tracker that I use. 2 different devices (like 2 different dashcams). Their mobile App can store (and therefore track) multiple devices to a single app. Additionally, I have this on 2 different mobiles (not sure if it can be added on more…did not need it on more). Not that I am in any way connected to it nor am I being sponsored to say so, but OneLap Go is one such (there could be more)….So I am speaking from the experience of using multiple trackers on a single mobile app and the use of tracking on different set of mobiles simultaneously. My plan is to travel a lot across different regions that speak different languages and under different governments…hence…. So now I have to decide how I wish to go about the 2nd Dashcam to ensure 4 side coverage - any dashcam other than a Viofo or to live with 2 mobiles each capturing one set of dashcams.

As you said at the end, the A139 Pro was performing pretty good. :) Though i wasnt so impressed with the colors in the vids. The white wasnt really white, like the 2 others. However one thing you defently forgot to talk about, was the battery. Lithium or Capacitor. :) I know the A139 Pro has a super capacitor, but not sure about the other 2. My favorit would defently be the A139 Pro. :D Excellent video 👌

It is a good thing to have someone like you to give the Hi's and Low's points plus some driving videos. It would be nice if Viofo better their audio/mic pickup. I've been debating on BlackVue DR900X Plus, Viofo A229 Duo and the newest Viofo A139 Pro. Don't need a 3rd camera for interior unless you are someone who has children or run side business such as Lyft or Uber. Reason for A229 is a 2.4inch screen, the A139 Pro has the Sony STARVIS 2., My one gripe about the Blackvue DR900X Plus is everything is the CLOUD which cost you extra per month, once on the Cloud you are exposed and lose any privacy in life. Yep! I am a Cloud Hater. I believe Blackvue has the best video quality and playback providing you want Cloud. The A139 Pro has more cable management/ connections and looks bulky especially when you don't have a screen built in. It would be awesome if the A229 Duo gets and upgrade built with Starvis 2.

Hey Rich. did you see this video kzitem.info/news/bejne/taKj1qSorKdeqHo ? I use the upgraded lavalier mic from Viofo for recording audio. I will tell you this. 1 big misconception about CLOUD cameras is that you have to use the CLOUD. You do not need to use the CLOUD at all. Video coming soon on CLOUD. It has the capability but you do not need to use it at all. STARVIS 2 so far has been testing nice. I do agree I would prefer a 229 Pro with LCD. Hopefully they look into making it.

@@SafeDriveSolutions Appreciate that. My new 2023 Camry XSE V6 has a large camera/sensor assembly enclosed by a plastic cover behind the rear view mirror. The Viofo A229 is a bit bulky and the screen not viewable as it would sit behind the rear view mirror, not able to center the A229 camera. The A139 Pro allows you to rotate the camera 300 degrees, the micro SD card can be tricky to get out as the camera is on horizontal piece just below the card slot. File organization not a big deal. The Rear camera is lacking in Resolution. Parking Mode is great except that you must set the Battery Protection on the Cable. - Thank you! I believe you offer terrific suggestions and produce videos worth watching. Decisions are tough because there is not a single product that can do it all as you must find which Dash Cam satisfies most of your needs. The Thinkware U1000 released in Oct. 2019 over 3 years ago still good but aging fast, with the Radar unit allows for motion detection which makes the U1000 the best for Parking Mode also the battery settings are included in the App. The U1000 is large and positioning it may create a problem - I am going to wait until Spring time as other new products may hit the market. *** Keep up the great reviews as they are very informative and do help people . Hi, I'm hoping you can provide a reply in a timely manner if that's okay as there's limited stock in my region without having to order from the US which may incur extra customs charges and also take longer for delivery and I need to order soon. Do you know if you could power two main front units for a Viofo A139 pro for example off a single usb cigarette lighter adapter or would it require a hardwire install because of power draw? Also not sure if the cable is long enough to reach the back windscreen all tidy but just maybe want the rear quality to be as good as the front and so considering the main 4K unit for both. 2 channel kit is out of stock here anyway :(
@SafeDriveSolutions
Жыл бұрын
Hello Stallzy, I have personally powered an A139Pro and A129Pro off a single cigarette lighter plugin as the Viofo Dash Cam cigarette lighter adaptor has 2 USB ports on it. I would not recommend using your factory USB ports on your vehicle. At least I have seen some challenges with that as recently I had a Viofo A119V3 plugged into it and all the video was quite choppy. I am assuming it was lack of power from my factory USB port. The DUAL USB charger has 3.1 amps of output. and I know the A139 Pro front and rear combo draws approx 0.5 amps. So according to the math it should be fine.

@@SafeDriveSolutions Hi thanks for the quick reply and also hearting the comment as I got an email for this action. I used to run a A119 v2 for two and a half years and used the included adapter. Apparently there was a period where they didn't or maybe that was just for the US crowd or it was between 2017 and 2023. I may go ahead and buy the A139 Pro main unit x2 then as there are literally just two left in stock and the dual channel is already in stock. Otherwise I'd have to buy from the US store which would take weeks to arrive and potentially extra fees on top. I posted the query on a few other channels just in case but you're a dash cam specialist and sales person it seems so your view is definitely appreciated I accidentally left my old VIOFO adapter (maybe non branded back then) plugged in to my old car when it was written off and taking all my belongings out. Thank you for your feedback. I think what you are seeing as difference in sync is the wide viewing angle of Thinkware U1000 which is 150 degree and the narrow view angle of Viofo A129Pro. The A139 Pro in 2 channel mode will do 4k 2160P / 30 FPS which is what I recommend. I had high bitrate set. I think going forward I will set it too maximum for even better performance.
