This guy is clearly a jerk! We were in the right. He was in the wrong and he broke the law with having his dog unleash. Our city law stated Leash policy all times!
Especially in public parks, streets, public areas and places etc.
He was angry that I ask him to put his dog on the leash and Hope get to free fly.
He was angry that we were happy! I notice him walking in far distance and always watching and eying us.
He was watching us for quite a while before he decided to come up to us and un-leashing his dog right in front of us.
He come to us! Me and Hope never move away from our start point.
I prefer not to have his Dog around my bird.
This is the type of response I have never encounter yet, but I have encounter dog owners when I ask them to please put their dogs on the leash (even if it' on the sign) they get aggressive and they cop an evil attitude and get angry. He provoke the situation and make things worst. He was irritating and assaulting us to the point where i said we are going. I had to pick up my water bottle there's when he came so close that I didn't feel comfortable and I push his hands out of my face. There it's when he start yelling Don't come at me and try to hit my phone and hands with his phone.
His guy wasn't in his clear mind and next time I will have pepper stray on me.
But all in all, I am happy we got away safe. No one was hurt. Just some scary moments and learning more and more from incidents like this one.
POLICE SAFETY TIPS
Do not get into someone’s car even if they display a weapon. It is better to fight back in the street where help is closer at hand and other people may hear your calls for help.
Walk confidently and don’t avoid eye contact
Don’t let strangers into your ‘space.’ Keep plenty of distance between yourself and people you don’t wish to approach you.
Be aware of your surroundings at all times and eliminate distractions or items that limit your ability to scan your environment
Don’t stop to talk with strangers asking for directions or other types of help as this can be a ploy to get close for an attack.
If you feel you are in danger or being followed, call 9-1-1
If grabbed, fight back and make as much noise as possible.
Use the buddy system when walking after dark or in ‘fringe’ areas, which are places there are fewer people travelling, allowing them a chance to victimize you without chancing witnesses. You should know the person you are walking with well enough to trust them.
Walk in lighted areas as much as possible and don’t walk too close to bushes, alleyways or other places where attackers can conceal themselves.
