My dad showed me this video when I was 10 years old. It shaped me in ways I cannot describe. I own my entire aesthetic to this, back at 10, I had encountered nothing like it, especially where I lived. It awakened in me a certain need for expression. Thanks a ton, dad!

Living for this in 2021 just got out of prison (again) and this was in the first 25 songs I needed. Robert Wyatt 'Sea Song,' Tori Amos 'Beauty Queen/Horses,' Sade 'Smooth Operator,' Void Vision 'To The Sea,' Asa 'The Way I Feel,' Video Club 'Lost Time,' Bjork 'Immature,' Portishead 'Live atvHammersmith,' Current 93 'All The Stars Are Dead Now,' Priscilla Paris ' Down By The River,' Neurosis 'Lost' and Carly Simon 'You're So Vain' make up the short list! Next up..... Swans 'Soundtracks For The Blind' Wish me luck my PO is a hard ass!

One, otherwise the best music band of the 80's in live and records..So profund, so deep..so dark and so strange...i've seen them two times in Rouen France and London and it blew me away in the deep of my mind....!!! They played at our scout disco when I was a kid (apparently they had originally booked a band called U2, but they were starting to make too big a name for themselves to play scout discos and we got the Virgin Prunes, who had the same manager, instead) and none of us had the faintest idea what we were looking at. I mean how do you dance to that? I love it now, but I can't say I did then.

See the children play by Running try to touch the sky When one falls you hear a cry “You’re dead, you’re dead, you must die” “Take a dream and fly away” Take a dream and fly away” she will call They will wait for you not I They will wait for you not I, see me crawl And sometimes I feel so old I never smile nor do cry Shadows flicker from above “Seeker save your soul” she said “Seeker save your soul” she said She will fly, she will fly He will wait far away A golden key to open the door Behind which the answer lies You sinned in dreams Now awake in deeper, deeper dreams “Take a dream and fly away Take a dream and fly away” she will call They won’t wait for you not I They will wait for you not I, see me crawl She will fly, she will fly Far away, far away
