Honestly, I think we should all ignore the hyperloop at this point. We have gone so many years without any progress, I would say that it isn't relevant anymore, regardless of what the media says. By the way, isn't it funny that after Virgin invested in hyperloop, they got into the high speed rail business?

To ignore it as "it will never be a viable solution, period" yes. To ignore the inevitable "Theranos" fallout to be coming out of its downfall, nah.

The London Underground was originally designed to run off compressed air this was like in the 1800s that also explains why the London underground tunnels are shaped the way they are and the carriages fit perfectly inside the tunnels.

Virgin Trains is talking about a station in Cocoa at the "Cocoa curve", Cocoa Beach isn't very far across the Indian River so I could see some sort of transportation being worked out to take passengers from the Cocoa station to Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral. Currently the cruise lines at Port Canaveral utilize buses to move passengers and crew from Orlando MCO to Port Canaveral, you can see the Disney buses quite regularly on SR-528. I wounder if Disney will be coordinating with Virgin Trains for transport from the proposed Disney World train station to Port Canaveral, utilization of the right of way for some sort of express service. With the expansion of Virgin Trains between Cocoa and Orlando; closing the gap across the St. Johns River will open up a whole new way of transportation and I definitely see regional trains being added down the road as additional stations are added.

Shinkansens go for a salty swim to scrap, Virgin Trains take a dip into port, the Hyperloop media sinks to a new low, and the Stig drives a train. Let us know about what you think (except for that last item) in the comments below!

I disagree with second channel since running 2 would be too much for you. I think u should just make an education one about the economics since the audience including me want to know about the benefits and maybe discuss high speed weaknesses that can be migrated?

Umm, the Hokuriku Shinkansen were not soaked in sea water, the train depot was in mountainous Nagano so it's impossible for sea water to get in. The main cause that the Shinkansen took a swim is simply fault of infrastructure, the Nagano Prefecture got ill-plagued by NIMBY movements for building dams and maintaining waterways in the 2000's. The typhoon simply crushed the under-maintained waterways. Of course, JR thought of the rivers flooding, and they built the depot with moats for water and mud, but the typhoon was much stronger, and the best they could do was to evacuate personnel. Well, life is more expensive than trains, and I don't think they deserve to be criticized.

I don't know much about the details of why they parked those trainsets there beforehand, and not much has been reported on it. Being that it's only a few of them, they could've ran out of space in their regular area.

Why not name the second channel: American Villa Club. American Demetrius Club. High Speed Demetrius America Club The Demetrius villa club. (I’m joking) Rip 10 Shinkansens. :( I do have really high hopes for Virgin trains, operating commuter rail and regional rail, plus connecting to the cruise ship. Maybe they can even work with Virgin Atlantic so passengers can easily transfer from Virgin planes to Virgin trains maybe. Just an idea. Can’t take the media seriously anymore, especially since the greta thurnberg (however you spell that), and now this 13year old girl.
