Would love a comparison vid of the Crosswind's rudder and the Virpil.

The TPR and Virpil were also on my shortlist for all the right reasons. Having other Virpil products already tipped the balance to the ACE. Have them now for a few years and extremely satisfied with the built and accuracy. Their not cheap, but all metal and consider never to have to buy pedals again (durability). Can just recommend to install the DIY ‘damper’ mod.

I've tried different pedals but the Virpil pedals are by far my favorite. Overkill I believe the nut you are looking for is a nyloc nut. Pro tip. A couple gear wrenches along with a fine tooth 1/4" ratchet will make your life a lot easier. 😉😉😉

Just got my Virpil Ace pedals and your video was very helpful. While waiting for the past few weeks for the order to arrive, I've watched a ton of various pedal reviews/how-to's/etc, and what kills me is that everyone videos themselves in socks :)

I have a Virpil stick and throttle and was initially looking at the Crosswinds, but noticed several KZitemrs moved from them or Virpil to the TPR. I then looked at some TPR reviews and preferred the look of the mechanism and pedal design. Got them in a sale and can’t fault them. May try a dampener mod at some point, but I really like them as they are.

I too, have the TPR,s and so far I am very happy with them, although they are the only ones I have owned. I also have the damper ready to install but any modification will void the warranty, as far as I know,so will wait a while. Mainly fly helicopters so will be interested in how a damper affects the feel.

I have both the Virpil and the TPR. I prefer the TPR to the virpil, even without the damper mod, but the damper mod makes the TPRs incredible. They are heavy, though, which is kinda problematic with a lighter duty motion rig like mine, but I still keep them there over the Virpil

i am using the virpil controls on fs2004. everything is working like it should. the only problem i am having is on take off i have a turn to the left? would increasing the dead zone thru the virpil software fix this?

those green parts goes black, because of you are using green screen filter, then OBS help you to remove all the green parts of your video and try to replace something that you want to, but there are nothing you have assigned, that's why it become fully black.

omg the little nuts behind the foot pads were annoying to get on. But all is well. Set up, configurated and now the long journey of reprogramming my brain to yaw with my feet and roll with my right grip.

Did adding the combat heel pedals make it feel like the toe breaks needed less range of motion to press all the way in? I have limited range of motion in my ankles and I am trying to shorten the pedal press for 100%.

I pre ordered the VelocityOne Flightdeck HOTAS system (due for shipping mid Feb). I'm looking at a good quality set of rudder pedals to go with the HOTAS system. Would there be any compatibility issues with these Virpil rudders?

I got the damper and my legs are so big that with the damper at it's stiffest setting and doing what this gentleman did it still feels like hardly any resitsnce. So i am going to go to a hardware or automotave shop and see if they have 1 stiffer spring the same size as the outer spring. Otherwise these peddals are awesome. Only decent HOTAS made in the last few years that works with MSFS 2004 (FS9).

Is this a biased review? Did you receive a free gift from the manufacturer? It seems unlikely you would have spent a lot of money and gone through the trouble of assembling this unit when you're already satisfied with the TPR, as shown in before and later videos.
