I discovered that if you install the a/b cables before installing the audio monitor plug-in, you can use cable a and cable b as suggested. It made the setup easier.

Wow, awesome! I guess this might be just what I need for two-way OBS/ZOOM audio routing. An A/B Virtual Cable, might as well give it a try. Thanks!

Hey there. First of all thanks for your tutorials they've been super helpful. I'm not sure what I've done in my setup but have not been able to send sound from OBS to Zoom lately. I think it's in my OBS settings. My Cable B is working fine as a speaker and I use it in Zoom effectively but CABLE A is not working as a microphone input. In my OBS scene, I have CABLE A as a microphone and in properties, I've set my microphone as the Device (I think that's the right setup?). In settings, I have my desktop audio set as Cable A and my monitoriing device as CABLE B. When I choose CABLE A as a microphone in Zoom I get nothing. I end up reverting to my microphone but then I'm not able to bring in desktop audio which is my whole purpose for going down this road. I'm sure it's a simple setup mistake I'm making. I've had it working in the past so not sure what I did to make it not work. (BTW, when I do a test recording in OBS, all the audio works)

Thank you for this tutorial. Could you explain how to use a mic and a DAW like Cakewalk together with OBS and send all sounds to Google Meet using an external Audio Interface! Can you help please? Thank you!

Hello StreamGeeks, is it possible to use VB-Cable to link a website's audio input to OBS ? For eg: A user has his own website where he streams live stock trading training videos. User wants to also simultaneously stream to a KZitem channel (may be his startup's). He uses OBS to switch & stream his website + video (user's video) to KZitem. But there's a sync issue between his audio & video on KZitem. In this example can VB-Cable be of help ? Sincerest thanks for your video, found it really helpful.

Qt. Is this better than going the route of installing a NDI? Great video thank you for making it! Yesterday I installed the free VAC version, then later in the day watched more videos, like yours, realizing I need both cables and now I'm seeing videos where they say I need a NDI to achieve my goal with Zoom and my media audio challenge. Thanks in advance, Jeremy.

Yes. I think this is better. NDI isn’t necessary for this. NDI is great but it’s extra network traffic you don’t need

@@StreamGeeks I'm all about minimizing that network traffic. Pbew!! Thanks, greatly appreciate your response.

Oddly, I feel like you made a complicated process seem even more complicated 😬. Also, just for future reference, get a mic that doesn't sound like you're shouting even when you're not. This was really difficult to listen to tbh.
