adrienne maree brown is the author of We Will Not Cancel Us and Other Dreams of Transformative Justice, Pleasure Activism: The Politics of Feeling Good, Emergent Strategy: Shaping Change, Shaping Worlds, and co-editor of Octavia's Brood: Science Fiction from Social Justice Movements. She is the co-host of the How To Survive the End of the World and Octavia's Parables podcasts. adrienne is rooted in Detroit.
Charlene A. Carruthers is a Black, queer feminist community organizer and writer with over 15 years of experience in racial justice, feminist and youth leadership development movement work. Charlene served as the founding national director of BYP100, and is the founder and executive director of the Chicago Center for Leadership and Transformation. She is also the author of Unapologetic: A Black, Queer and Feminist Mandate for Radical Movements. Charlene was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago where she currently resides.
Cindy Wiesner, a 30-year veteran of the social justice movement in the U.S. and internationally, is the Executive Director of the Grassroots Global Justice Alliance. She’s been active in many movement building initiatives, including the U.S. Social Forum, World March of Women, It Takes Roots, the Rising Majority, Green New Deal Network and the People’s Bailout. She is currently volunteering with The Frontline. Cindy is a lesbian of Salvadoran, Colombian and German descent and a grassroots feminist, internationalist, and movement strategist. She currently lives in Durham, North Carolina.
