...got one at Sam's for 330! New in the box.I have made a smoker with a steel can and hot plate and that works amazingly also had a store bought smoker. The vision is a piece of art and works the best.

Good review, I am looking at a B model with the diamond pattern at Best buy now. I was going to subscribe but did not see any videos on your channel, get busy, lol. I would like to see a brisket video with this outfit. Do you have any problems keeping the temp around the 225-250 range? Thanks!

When it was brand new the temp liked to rise if I wasn’t careful, but after some use it holds temperatures fine.

I have several videos using the kamado on my channel. You have to click on the video tab. A brisket cook is the next planned video.

too bad the thin pot metal used by Vision to make the cart is so cheap and thin, the casters start twisting out of the threads after only couple years. The egg itself is great. Obviously it was made in china... par for the course... cheap.

I haven’t had any issues with the cart or wheels yet personally, but I’d say if the grill is half the price of competitors they had to have saved money somewhere. I have replaced the shelves, ash drawer, top vent, and felt gasket though over the years.

@@AllThingsMan that is good to hear your cart wheels have been ok so far... i have not had any issues with the gasket or top vent or ash drawer, they still seem top notch. If I ever had to buy another egg grill, i def would not pay the extra money to get the green one, and I would go with vision again in all honesty

You shouldn’t use a chimney for a Kamado. The walls of the ceramic need to reach temp at the same time. You could crack it. Start with a fire starter, crack a beer and relax. This isn’t a Weber kettle.

Thanks. I have since switched to using a fire starter.

I am glad you had success but my Vision Classic B is a beautifully polished turd. Looks great but even after modifying/sealing the ash catch tray, bottom and top vents, it will not hold temps below 325 and i am no stranger to Kamado grilling. I suspect it is the crappy lid shock system which I plan to remove but as is, it cooks no better than a $30 briquet grill from the dollar store.

I’m sorry to hear that. Have you contacted Vision Grills? Your experience doesn’t seem like the normal at all.

Have you tried less coals?

Yes sounds like you need less coals kamados are crazy efficient with fuel and I need like 1 1/2 handfull for a 6 hour cook.
