Cocolia being the tsaritsa makes way more sense to me tbh. The angry, grieving mother closing herself off from the rest of her children goes so well with the whole "no love left for her people." I read a theory forever ago that said signora burned up her real body when she became the crimson witch and her current look was based off the tsaritsa and its why venti said she stole the smirk from her masters face. Idk if i agree with it but the thought that signora is trying to mirror the tsaritsa is pretty cool

Yes, you're not wrong actually! I also thought of certain information regarding Cocolia to match quite well with Tsaritsa. In pretty much every honkai universe, Cocolia has always played the role of a villain type. The reason for her bad actions are quite pretty much due to her twisted conception of love and despite pretty much would do anything for the sake of love, all the while disregarding consequences caused by her actions. It seems to fit Cocolia to steal gnosis if it's for the sake of her ideals and love

For me I've always seen it like this Anemo: Giving up a portion of ones own freedom to strive towards their desires Geo: To make a contract with ones self to achive what they desire and if something does not involve pushing towards the end goal then it doesnt really matter. Electro: The preservation and continuation of something one desires to keep for as long as possible. Dendro: to desire a deeper understanding of something. To obtain more knowledge on a subject of desire. Hydro: To live by a moral code or personal justice for the betterment of one's own and/or others desires. Pyro: To fight for ones desires, to be at war for change involving that desire against all odds. Cryo: To do the thing you hate the most for the things you love and desire the most.

The problem is that these don't really describe all the characters that share a specific element. For example, your anemo definition doesn't really describe Sucrose, who would be more in line with your pyro definition. For Electro, Lisa would be better off with Dendro. For Dendro, Collei doesn't really desire a deeper understanding of something, she wants to be helpful. Kaveh, too, wouldn't fit. Yes he's a scholar, but so are other characters who are not dendro. Cryo seems to be right for Diona, but not for other characters like Chongyung who is doing exactly what he wants to do, or better yet, he can't do what he loves because of his yang energy but he still tries anyway. Though, I can kinda agree with your definition of Geo, Hydro and Pyro

Nahida is the kindest soul in all of Teyvat, Zhongli is extremely loyal to people and loyally abides by all of his contracts, Ei is literally striving for Eternity if that isn't some determination then I don't know what is. The trust in their strength is all they need, nothing else, no one else will make their dreams come true. 54:29 CRYO: A shield essentially exists to protect someone but protecting doesn't always mean hiding behind it. Just finished part about hydro, not sure if someone else said it already, but. I like your phrase about action and reaction, and I think it alone better explains hydro users ambitions than what you said about protecting people around them. They are a reaction to the world, an opposition to whatever they dislike in it, or sometimes to fate itself. That'd also include Childe well, since you could say his vision was a reaction to his circumstances in the abyss. Egeria and later Focalors were opposed to the rules of Celestia, same goes for Neuvillette.

I might want to add my view aswell: Anemo, the element of wind and freedom, seems to be the element of embrace as well. Wind and air is practically everywhere, and it embraces everything in the world. So acceptance and understanding what happened and taking the "freedom" of choice to change or do something comes together with the embracing part. Like Kazuha said in his domo, he is like the wind on the waves, his movement can change in a moment, again the freedom to change, like the wind adept. Geo, the element of earth and contracts, like the saying “it is set in stone”, a promise that is factual. It seems as if the goal of them, which is focused on others is a factual contract in a symbolic way. They never really told anybody “hey I want to do this for you”, but there heart spoke for them. The carvings set in stone, are represented by there visions. A symbol of a great promise they thrived for. Electro, the element of thunder and eternity. The eye of the storm, the middle of a storm in which nothing changed, the rage happens outside. The eternal still moment seems to be the characters there dream, and the lightning from there vision are the raging powers from the outside. Fighting for a person dream, a deception or a goal, it doesn’t matter. It seems like the electro vision aids them in a possible outcome that without it cannot be achieved. That’s why they got the vision at the exact moment. It is like you said, not perse a reward, but a tool. A symbol of power and peace within. Dendro, the element of nature and wisdom. It seems like the people put away reason on the side, and just go for intuition instead. As the element of wisdom you might think it is weird to not “think logically”, but intuition and following your hear and gut are in fact the reason people started to think and experiment in the first place. Even if a situation seems weird, forbitten or dangerous, reason is not always the right thing, moral thinking can inflict in an inner debate which can lead to you being to late to act, or just not act due to “possibilities”. Sometimes real wisdom is found in ones heart. Hydro, the element of water and justice. But also the element of change like wind, but also reflection. Water reflects the world, it is a natural mirror. Finding a lack, hole or problem. Barabara for example becomes “transparent”, to try to feel what the sad and sick feel. Nilou does this to so she can become a mirror of emotions. Justice is just one aspect, being able to reflect, and judge a situation, is by becoming a mirror and try to relive what set situation is. Pyro, the element of fire and War. But also passion it seems. The heat of fire, the one thing that molds a weapon to it’s form. The one thing that can cause a lumpy piece of ore to become something beautiful like a jewel or blade. Pyro vision wielders seem to be the blacksmiths of their own goal. They work on themselves so they are the beauty or weapon that can help them in the future. Xinyan had a lot of backlash and discrimination growing up, but her love for music is what made her see the beauty in the world. She became both a shield for backlash, a sword to fight for her passion and a jewel through playing music, the end result of what she molded herself to be worthy off. Same goes for Dehya, she wanted to turn herself into a sword to become a missionary and so she worked for it. Seeing the vision only as a lighter, and her own strength as the spark to ignite her true potential. War is not only fighting in the literal sense, but also thriving for a great outcome, thriving for victory and eventually also peace. Cryo, the element of frost and ???. The Tsaritsa’s motives and what she stands for is unknown. But the prologue there seems to be a reference to the “Ice Queen” fairytale. Her heart froze so she lost love for anything. It seems like she represents love. Frost is also the element of gentleness and pain. It seems as if these Cryo wielders feel a form of love but either acknowledge it and become gentle as snow, or to try and go in denial/fight for themselves causing others to be pushes away and be the frostbite and sharp icicles.

I won't go deep on the explanation because it's what I basically said in the video, but there's something I need to add. The ideals of the Archons, so freedom, contracts, eternity, wisdom, justice, war and whatever the Tsaritsa is going to be (although I still think it's peace), are the ideals of their respective nations, not of the elements. The people of a specific nation will all, regardless of their visions or lack of one, adhere to those ideals. Take Yanfei for example: she is a lawyer and her whole life is based on the contract she made with her parents and on the various contracts she makes with her clients, but she is still Pyro. That's because as a person from Liyue, she values contracts as the national ideal shared by the people, but as a person, her ambition aligns with Pyro.

My vision theories Anemo: those who have an ambition to make sure they or others are not burdened (freedom given but not enforced) Geo: those who have high integrity to their ambition and ridged in their determination (made a contract to themselves) Electro: those who have an ambition to live their desires/wish endlessly (to stretch a moment into eternity) Dendro : an ambition that means or requires seeking/creating something not yet accomplishable or known Hydro : those whose ambition means instilling their morals into the world Pyro : those whose ambition is based on their most intrensic desire Cryo : those whose ambition requires contradicting their own nature

Sometimes ill be analyzing a vision story for an hour to understand it fully. This is my understanding of how characters receive or awake visions based on the element ss it makes sense to me. Anemo: The lost of something or someone important to oneself. Like personal time, loved ones, friends, personal freedom from being shackles to an obligation, and so on. Geo: Duty/Obligation to something, someone, or yourself. Electro: Maintaining the essence of an ideal, person, identity, or an object. Dendro: ??? Hydro: To sacrifice oneself for the sake of something or someone else over all else. Pyro: The passion to fight for a ideal, person, something valuable to any and all people, or for oneself. This video was beyond amazing! The individual analysis of every character, connecting them to the Archons and the dragon sovereigns as well as the Heavenly virtues was genius. Well worth the wait! Now as for my vision. I initially thought I was Dendro or Geo because I had a strong will and wanted to do the right thing, to spread the truth and use my education in horticulture and society to bring justice for Indigenous peoples. Not to mention I’m an earth sign. But now I realize I my will and strength cannot do this alone. And for that I realize that I am more aligned to Electro. I need to use tools to help me. I’ve long since been in taekwondo, my parents enrolled me so I could defend myself, but I’ve always doubted my strength to be enough no matter how hard I trained. The real moment when I felt I could have acquired my vision happened a few years ago now. My mother and I were out late shopping one night in the beauty department of our local drug store when we realize we were surrounded by thieves shoving perfumes into duffel bags. My mother cried out “thieves!” as they did so, and they crashed through the door to make their exit. It took me a few seconds to realize the place was being robbed and I just clung to my mother desperately as I pleaded for our lives within my mind. They were amateur thieves, but what if they were professionals and had guns to hold us hostage? I had taekwondo on my side and yet I could do nothing as my entire body was paralyzed with fear in that moment. I prayed for protection. But that was the moment I realized I really needed more than my will and strength alone to protect the people I love and to uphold justice. I want to make use of my martial arts training to protect myself and the people I love. I also want to bring justice, but now I realize that an Electro vision may be what I need to do so. However, I want to rely on my own strength first and foremost, being my taekwondo and my education. Not to mention I’ve been told that purple is my colour.

That's a very scary situation to be in, but I think that considering the situation and the best course of action was probably the right way. As you said, you couldn't have known what they may have had with them, and martial arts can't save you in case a weapon is involved. I mean, it could save you if you were fast enough, but since it was a group of people, things may have ended up bad. Honestly, from what you said, it sounds more like your vision should be pyro, actually. Relying on your strength alone but also realizing that it may not be enough, so you strive to be stronger. It's basically Diluc's story. Anyway, thank you!!! I'm happy you liked the video!!! XD

I always thought the ideals of vision-bearers are better reflected by the ascension gemstones and their descriptions, and only to some extent the ideals of the archons (I wrote it all before watching the video, ofc). For Anemo it’s strive and hope for a change and a greater future (as wind is also associated with time) For Dendro it’s harmony of the world around (with sages and dancers holding hands, so, maybe, equality too?) For Electro it’s unyielding individual excellence. For Geo it’s devoting your very being (flesh and blood) to the cause. For Hydro it’s clarity, of seeing things and beings as they are For Pyro - fighting for a personal prominence (creating your own name? though probably we’ll know more when we arrive at Natlan) For Cryo - endurance. Another thing I noticed is that all Cryo bearers are lonely people (except for Charlotte, probably). But the more I think about it, the more it seems like elements of the visions actually have only a superficial correlation. Developers create a kit and put a bare minimum story to check the boxes.

I disagree with your theory, for obvious reasons since I made an hour long video about it. But most of all, we are talking about a game created by people who really care about details, so I don't really believe they are just giving a random story just because it needs to exist

@@ShadowX5452Gaming I watched your hour-long video after writing a comment, don’t get me wrong. And found out our theories aren’t mutually exclusive, so imo it’s neat. Yes, Genshin cares a lot about details sometimes, but a lot of times some theories turn out to be just us looking in an already explained thing too deeply (like with Kokomi being the reborn dragon sovereign). After all, Genshin isn’t a game that is developed and written and then released in increments, it’s a game that grows with time. Some hard outlines for major plot lines existed, for sure, but they did not pre-write all the characters for seven regions. Sometimes they make a playable kit to fill a niche in gameplay and create a character around it, and sometimes they write a character needed for the plot, and design a kit around what makes sense for their aesthetic. So no, I don’t believe they think too much about specifics of why this particular character has a particular vision, or (taking your theory, for example) Razor may as well be a Cryo, and Ningguang an Electro.

I saw someone mention that Pyro might be to do with family or legacy (I don't remember which one, or both) and that actually makes so much sense, it seems to fit the idea of tribes in Natlan as well, like how Hydro's duality was really highlighted in Fontaine and helped me to finally figure out what the element was about
@ShadowX5452Gaming
8 ай бұрын
I don't really see how pyro is related to family or legacy, though. It works with Diluc, maybe, but Klee? Her mother is a witch, non a bomb maniac. Samo goes for Thoma, since his family is in mondstadt while he decided to stay in Inazuma. Xiangling cooks like her father, but other than that, her story doesn't revolve around family. Even Yanfei is the same, she is just doing her own thing. Even as legacy, that doesn't really work. Crepus wasn't a knight, Alice is still a witch, Thoma didn't receive any legacy, Xinyan's family didn't want her to become a who she is, Yanfei's parents are not lawyers. As for Hydro, I guess this is going to be just like the concept of samsara. Everybody thinks that hydro has a duality now because of Furina and Focalors, but there really is no duality in Hydro. No hydro character has any kind of duality except for Furina, and even she doesn't have it anymore...

@@ShadowX5452Gaming Oh right about hydro characters it's more of like having another side and possibly it being hidden Yanfei was kinda harder for me but it kinda still works (I went to check her lore and woah its says she has a contract with her parents and her balance was given by her father, that actually fits a lot better than I thought now) Thoma was also kinda there with 'kinda fits but not that well' but then I remembered his origin story which makes him fit a bit more, though perhaps still not as much as some other characters Lyney and Arlecchino are some of the best fits, and the whole House of the Hearth in general for being named after a fireplace which is actually so clever because it represents protection from the cold of Snezhnaya *and* the family aspect of Pyro The ones I most don't know are Xinyan and Chevreuse

Alright, so let's see here... Judging from the descriptions of the elements in this video, I would either be Pyro or Anemo...even though I wanted to have a blue-colored vision (Hydro or Cryo) Growing up, I was a very go-with-the-flow person to a fault and didn't have the courage to stand up for myself and the things I wanted because I didn't want any conflict with those around me (one example of this was being in a job I didn't want before) When I finally came to my senses after getting my heart broken due to a rejection, I realized that I had also lost a lot of things that I wanted and loathed myself severely for it. Since then, I put up more walls around me and just tried to focus on my own self-improvement. I told myself that my story wouldn't end miserably. I went back to university in a science-related course that I actually like, work hard to excel in it hoping I would soon become a full-fledged scientist, and now I also get to help others with my skills...with me mostly enjoying how I can show others how smart I am (modesty aside, hehehe). I also endeavor to build a good future for myself and give back to those who supported me along the way. With or without someone I can call mine, I won't fall apart again. I will forge my own path. (Please do forgive the sob story, I figured it would have been the best way I could think of as a basis, hehehe)

Coming back after watching, I'm doubling down on electro and pyro. Lisa sticks out like a sore thumb, but otherwise every electro user has a person or ideal they want to last forever, and all pyro users are deeply passionate about something which drives them to push ever onwards. While the exact moment of the cryo users receiving their vision doesn't align with what I had before, it can not be denied that every single one has a big contradiction that is core to their character. We felt that the conditions for receiving a vision of any given element were decided subconsciously by the ideals of the current holder of that element's authority(hence why I listed two hydro conditions, and also explaining why no electro visions were granted during the vision hunt decree), and thus cryo would have some reflection of the contradiction between the Tsaritsa being the goddess of love and her having no love for her people or Celestia. With geo and dendro, I believe our two ideas are compatible. Nahida is very compassionate and curious, to the point where she's willing to make huge gambles to satisfy those two things, which is reflected by the vision condition. Geo users all have long-term goals, like you said, but they also all gravitate to positions where they can be the solid rock that others prop themselves up on. Anemo I think we're getting at the same thing from different directions. Both of our ideas, at their core, are about turning personal tragedies into strength. To link it back to venti's ideals, you could say that it's about gaining the same kind of self-sufficiency that he wants mondstadt to have, and it takes being trapped to understand what it means to be free. Lastly, while I can't say I'm sold on your idea for hydro, the character lore you showed for everyone definitely has me doubting my idea for the pre-4.2 rule. We'll have to wait until we get more hydro characters I guess, hopefully including more that gained their vision post-4.2

So as I was watching (btw I caught the video like a minute after upload, yay!) I've sort of been making my own classification based on your reading of the characters, here's what I've got Anemo: Self determination (changing, taking a stand, adapting) Geo: Goal-focused toward others (persevering) Electro: Self determination (reaffirm oneself/who you were always meant to be/staying as you are) Dendro: Doing the right thing/taking a risk (self sacrifice) Hydro: Accepting/taking on responsibility (for other people) Pyro: Goal focused toward self (stubbornness) Cryo: Reject who you are/what is happening to you Do you thing Zhiqiong (chasm Explorer) would have been Pyro? I think so. Her story is basically Bennet's Bad Ending Also I think all visions sort of "look into the future" perhaps Alhaitam reading that book was the beginning of a journey that will end with him sacrificing himself in order to spread his knowledge (like Orobashi) Not me predicting death flags lool Also... Mmmh i think I'd probably get Electro, I'd only be willing to perform feats that reaffirm the kind of person I am 😂
@ShadowX5452Gaming

The problem is that, for example, you have two elements that are about self-determination, although the specific definition is slightly different. In that case, anemo and Electro would be too similar, while I think there has to be a specific, undeniable reason why someone gets an element rather than another. This whole theory was born in the first place because of what Chongyung's story says: he should have received a pyro vision to help him as an exorcist, but another ambition of his resonated with the Heavens, that's why he received Cryo. That line is the whole reason why I created this theory the first time and now. As for Zhiqiong, we don't really know if she's actually dead. If you want an even worse ending, though, she could become a herald created by the sinner himself! All visions kinda look into the future, that's right but, at least in my theory, except for hydro, the changes or the ambitions are either something that must be done in the present (always in the present, which automatically also means the future), or to change or because of the past, and so on. Hydro is the only one that gives me the idea of actually thinking about the future first and then about what needs to be done to get to that future. And I hope that they won't kill the characters, not in Genshin Impact at least! XD And congratulations for you electro vision!!!

Under the 2022 video on visions I said that I'd either be an anemo user or an npc (tho npcs also can have visions as you replied then, so the better word is visionless). And funny enough I still think the same way even though for completely different reasons. The idea of being a savior for myself and finding "hope" is very close to me, second to it perhaps opposition to the world and "justice". But a shard of control is not enough, and after inazuma I see visions as not only means of control over elements (which gives greater power = freedom), but also control over their holders. So for myself, I'd prefer to stay visionless, and rely on knowledge and tools that could be made by humans. This, I believe, would represent the ideas of Khaenriah (I've probably misspelled the name). Anyway, thanks for the great video!

Fontaine archon quest validated me so I’m leaving this here Archon archetypes speculated and explained by me Anemo: *willstrung voyager* (Venti of course represents the willfulness of anemo with his aid in overthrowing old mondstadt, at the same time though often exaggerate this by displaying to much freedom like being passed out drunk in a corner of angel share.) Geo: *devoted worker* (as Yun Jin once said “it’s what I truly love and it’s what i will be pursuing for the rest of my life” and if that’s not geo in a nutshell I don’t know what is, definitely describes Zhongli, before he met the bird anyway. In reality he may have been a bit to devoted.) Electro: *timeless guardian* (ah yes the ones trying to cut water. If the hourglass were to break everything goes to sh*t, if the hour ever reaches 0 everything goes to sh*t. I’m sure a certain shogun can push that to extremes by trying to stop time itself.) Dendro: *boundless dreamer* (baby jail can’t not contain the child that knows true wisdom. Free expression, creativity, attempts to conform them will prove futile. However true wisdom brings naivety, maybe giving away two gnosis won’t be a bad thing… maybe.) Hydro: *selfless ruler* before we begin, ahahaha I was right! (purity, selfishness, nai degradation of free will! With an archon that’s basically Jesus all of these characters have sacrificed themselves one way of another whether that be Mona and her third satisfying salid, contemplating how she going to pay rent or Nilou sacrificing her personality for are enterta- I mean taking the risk to dance in front of the akademia. As for Furina she’d probably cut off her own limbs for the sake of others, commitment to the bit I’ll say.) Pyro: *passionate warrior* (this is self explanatory, moving on) …fine okay (Amber: I like outriders. Bennett: I like adventure Diluc: I like retribution. Klee: I like bombs. Murata: I like WAR. Okay she’s probably just a bit too thirsty for combat but still.) Cyro: *valiant lover* (people said going against celestial would be a bad idea, I say f*ck people. One might feel like the world is against them, but no matter the odds they shall preserver with stride in hopes one day they shall over come the world itself. Even if that means to burn the old one away to start anew.)

Kinda agree with the description, except for valiant lover because I still think the Tsaritsa is the God of Peace, but let's leave it there. And, if I may ask, why is anemo represented by a voyager? So the Archons, according to you, are the extreme versions of the ideals? Did I get that right?

You are aware of the risk but the sacrifice is worth whatever it is. Hydro- taking on responsibility for others, becoming an example for others through your work. Putting your best effort into your work as a symbol and model standard. Pyro- accepting the torche passed down to you. Alhaitham's character and/or personality are usually willfully misinterpreted by people, because he isn't interested in feigning interest in society's hypocritical norms of conduct. So his pursuit of knowledge might look self serving on the surface, but what if he is trying to reach deeper and find a definitive solution for something. Instead of trying to fix every hole in the street that he comes across, playable Deshret is more concerned in trying to find the source of what's causing the holes to appear. Alhaitham strikes me as someone who loathes palliative solutions, because it leaves people complacent and makes them lose sight of the overarching goal. So perhaps he gained his vision because of his innate desire to reach "real/true" wisdom, the kind that could fundamentally change things. Moreover he is not afraid of confrontation and debate/discussion, which is what generally foster the most legitimate form of information. Since it goes through an irl "peer to peer" review of sorts, that can be analyzed through a myriad of unique lenses. Loved the video, i hope your efforts are rewarded and enjoy the festivities UwU

I haven’t finished yet but the thing of the 7 events to the 7 virtues is already something I’m really into!! If that’s the case, I wonder if there isn’t a connection between delusions and the 7 sins. Maybe, just like how you need some “special” quality to be given a vision, you need some antithesis of that to utilize a delusion. Like Childe, who’s ambitions are great enough to be rewarded with a vision, and who’s wrath( constant desire for combat and to prove his strength) is great enough to claim a delusion?
@ShadowX5452Gaming
8 ай бұрын
Well, it's not like they claim a delusion, they are given by the Tsaritsa and Pierro, though it may be interesting to understand why specific delusion elements are given to those people. The problem is that we only know Signora and Childe's delusions. Signora didn't have a vision, but her cryo delusion was useful to counteract her being a pyro being. Childe is the only one we can actually use to make a comparison, but him alone is too little. Then there's the problem that the heavenly virtues are don't oppose the capital sins. Some heavenly virtues are also among the capital virtues, but Justice (hydro) is not one of them. Wrath, which would be the best sin for Childe's delusion would be opposed by patience, which is something Childe doesn't even remotely have...

Easily your best video, I really appreciate how well edited it is and how clearly you made your points. I don't 100% agree with everything in the video but this is easily the best theory on visions I've seen from anyone. The biggest thing I don't understand is as to why you think the Cryo Archon can't be the God of Love or if you think that being the God of Love and God of Peace are mutually exclusive. I don't think archons necessarily have one singular ideal with no additional aspects. For example, Nahida is God of Wisdom and Dreams, Morax is God of Contracts and Commerce and Venti is God of Freedom and Hope. The ideals have obvious overlap with each other and that overlap is also present when considering the ideals of peace and love. It's possible for the Tsaritsa could be God of both Love and Peace similar to the other archons who have two overlapping ideals. Admittedly I could be wrong myself since this theory doesn't really work with Furina and Ei.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
8 ай бұрын
It's not that I think that she can't be the God of Love, it's more that I'm trying to make people understand that there is a change, a high chance, that her main ideal could be Peace, because of what Pierro and Childe say about her. Of course, she could be the God of Peace and Love, a very yippie god at this point XD I just don't understand why people decided for her to be the God of Love because of what Dainsleif says in the Travail video and because of what Scaramouche said later, but systematically ignore what Pierro really highlights in the winter night's lazzo video and what Childe has always said, considering how Pierro is her right hand and Childe seems to be the only harbinger who actually cares about what she wants to achieve. Peace, absolute peace. Such is the gift from the Tsaritsa, such is her majesty's benevolence (I know it by heart at this point XD)
@Freadauk

@@ShadowX5452Gaming I do think Pierro's line is strong evidence in favor of your theory, I'm just personally don't find it convincing enough to fully be on board with the God of Peace idea. Though it would be amazing if you everything right so early on with so little info to work with.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
8 ай бұрын
@@Freadauk in the end, my reasoning is actually even simpler than just what Pierro says. In the Travail video, for mondstadt Dainsleif asks what freedom is if demanded by a God, so freedom is the ideal. For Liyue, he straight up says God of contracts. For Inazuma, he talks about the eternity chased by their god, so God of Eternity. For Sumeru, Fontaine and Natlan, he just calls them God of wisdom, justice and war. Snezhnaya, on the other hand, is about hos the Tsaritsa closed herself from the world, how she doesn't want to love her people nor do they love her. He never says anything like "the love their god felt for them" or something like that that would imply her being the God of Love, like it happens with mondstadt and inazuma. Furthermore, if the Travail video was meant to tell us the exact ideal of every single Archon, what was the point having Zhongli stop before saying what the cryo Archon's ideal used to be, when he was looking at the kites? That alone means that we are not supposed to know what her ideal is, not for the time being, but also that the Travail didn't tell us what it is, too. And my last thought is also something very simple: all the Archons are supposed to love their people, so having a God of Love would be kinda pointless, wouldn't it? I mean, take Zhongli or Nahida as examples. All the I've done throughout their lives was an act of love for their people. One moved entire mountains to protect them, the other did everything she could while being a prisoner, putting her people before herself. Rukkhadevata even sacrificed herself to save the people not only of Sumeru, but of the entire Teyvat. I can't really see a God that could ever surpass their love so much as to be called the god of love... But yeah, we'll see how it goes. For certain, we will know in basically almost a year exactly, in 5.3 with the ending notes in Natlan. Hopefully, we'll learn about her a little earlier, though, like when Arlecchino will be released, she will definitely have a voice line about her...

I’d formulate Anemo’s ideal as “freedom from circumstances” and Geo’s as “dedication, perseverance”. That said, these are the only ones I fully agree with. The rest is more or less persuasive, but I don’t like them xd I was thinking about sharing my take on the ideals of the elements but now realised I’ve never read Vision stories that thoroughly, so I’m unlikely to be right :)
@ShadowX5452Gaming
8 ай бұрын
But I'd say that "freedom for circumstances" is also kinda wrong. I mean, take Jean: she's not that free, if anything, he had to sacrifice her freedom in order to grant the people of mondstadt that same freedom. Same goes for Kazuha, if you think about it. Yes, he's a Wanderer, he goes wherever he wants to go, but is he really free? He had to become a Wanderer because of the circumstances from the past, it wasn't his decisions, he was forced to. Xiao is also everything but free, since he can't let go for not even a split second, or the darkness would take over him.

Ok ok, so i completely agree about your point anemo!!! It just makes so much sense to me!!! And it fits all these characters and venti story too. Dendro also makes a lot of sense to me too, like nahida lore and actions just fits into your description (Sorry for my English, it's not the best) I will have to watch hydro part few more times because my brain cant understand it properly (nothing on you, i am just like this sometimes) Now for cryo and hydro, i have my own theory which i have been thinking a lot about these days (my friends said i might have either of those visions lol) So for hydro this is what i think- It involves consistency and persistence, continuing doing what you must even when you feel like giving up, but you can't. Usually for the sake of protecting others, it makes you selfless, self sacrificing even. And playing that role or, following your goal can be ingrained so deeply into you that you may loose yourself, your personality, or develop some other form of it to keep you going on. Or it can even strengthen your beliefs, personality etc. And for cryo, well someone related it to loss and it really tied up with what i think (ill just copy paste most of my comment from that reply) Usually it's about when something traumatic or big happens in your life which makes you understand how much you value your subject of importance. And now you see this thing usually happens when we are about to loose our subject of love, importance etc or are on verge of losing it. We just want to be accepted or loved but that's not really possible due to the circumstances which can tie up with contradiction which is shown most of the times in lore of cryo vision holders. The subject of importance, love, etc can be anything or anyone. Like a family member, a desire, a will etc. what's important is that it should make us feel loved, accepted or something like that imo. And again i think it can just strengthen your will, desire ambition etc, like not giving up and doing what you want/need without gaf about circumstances, environment etc (which can be again the contradictions in cryo vision holders)

Since ei's ideal at the time was to never change, rather than makoto's eternity that seems like "live in the moment" sorta deal. Our favorite hydro dragon also revealed in his "about visions" that visions are kinda like semi automatic to my understanding? Like a persons wish reaches the heavens(celestia) and that wish gets validated based on the ideals of the archons, a fragment of their "mastery" is given to the person, the "mastery" and the "wish" becomes the vision. It also seems like the gnosis is seperate from this "mastery" since neuvi still was able to give furina her vision. But hey this is just my crazy 2am coffee addict theory that I had while finishing my school deadlines, so its kinda ehhhhhh.

I was talking about this with a couple of friends just the day prior, I think the vision you get depends on a set of "criteria" rather than just an ideal alone. Cryo is a very clear-cut example of this. The tsaritsa is the god of love with no love left for her people, similarly cryo users have this contradiction as an important character trait (Chongyun, an exorcist who has never seen an evil spirit. Diona, an amazing bartender with a hatred of alcohol. Rosaria, a nun who doesn't know her own God's name. etc.). Maybe the contradiction is not present at the beginning, but everyone has a constellation that determines their fate. I do think Anemo does require the loss of someone as the catalyst to get the vision. Lynette may not have lost Lyney in her Vision story, but the vision story wouldn't have happened if their parents hadn't died and they never joined the Fatui. The death of Heizou's friend was what made Heizou understand that "Sin" was his enemy, not people who were led astray like his friend. Sucrose lost her friends from broken friendships and that's what made her pursue bio alchemy: she wanted to honor their promise and decided to "create her own paradise". The unnamed bard died with Venti by his side, Venti became "Barbatos" because he played a key part in the rebellion and he was the only other candidate for the seat of anemo archon. I'm not knowledgeable enough on the other elements' cast to make a good enough conclusion, though I do think it's interesting how Cryo and Anemo happen to be the ones with the most apparent thematic similarities.

Really great and thorough theory update! This is exceptional work I just wanted to add my thoughts because there are a few elements I think might be *slightly* different Geo is about second chances; All the Geo characters received their visions when they renewed old passions, whether they knew it or not. Noelle show the acting grand master of the knights that she was prepared to try again no matter how much she fails, Albedo picking up the work of his master, Yun Jin growing dispassionate with opera and reinventing the traditonal art form in a way that allows her to tell stories in her own way, Gorou leading a rebellion where the goal is people living to regain their visions and the attached ambitions and pursue them in peace, Itto (unknowingly) repairing human relations with Oni and getting the vision without even realizing, Ningguang recognizing the value in granting a wish from the heavens, Navia demonstrating to her father that she was prepared to succeed him and keep everyone safe Pyro is personal excellence in spite of something; Pyro characters are all individualistic people who have dedicated themselves to contradictory work. Dehya is a mercenary who trains to be the strongest in order to protect daily comforts and fight for those who can't fight. Diluc is a protector of the people who works in spite or organized force like the knights of favonius, completing tasks where their knight's code restricts them from acting. Amber became an outrider because people were trying to make the position obsolete and she wanted them to believe there needs to be an outrider in the knights. Bennett has exceptionally bad luck and in spite of it is an adventurer. Hu Tao has dedicated herself in life to easing people through the process of death. Lyney fooled Arlecchino by getting a delusion just to be allowed on a mission where he never used the delusion at all; in many ways, he misleads people to do what he believes is right. Klee is incredibly destructive and has no conscience for it because she has no ill intents. Yanfei practices law because she seeks to use it to disarm people with harmful intent rather than to attack others. Yoimiya lives in the land of eternity and dedicates her life to an art form that exists for mere seconds; she believes that eternal things can be created in ephemeral moments. Thoma continued to lend strength to the Yashiro Commission in hard times despite the fact most the work he does being nonviolent and peaceful. Xinyan is the only person in liyue who plays rock & roll and she loves it that way!! Xiangling believes anything can be a good ingredient even if it's something gross, and is determined to find culinary solutions that no one else has ever thought of. Chevreuse is someone I've taken as a person who has a hidden passion for something and masks it by having an extreme personality to contrast it. She probably isn't as organized as she seems but will act as such to convince people to stay in line and show respect Arlecchino is probably quite similar. She is a very tender and caring person who has a reputation for being unhinged and dangerous, and has been known to substantiate that reputation through violence in cases she sees justified. I think she likely got her vision when she first acted under this facade of the "terrifying bloodthirsty fatuus" in order to protect her fellow orphans But again, a really great theory video! I had some different thoughts about Hydro in the past but I think your theory is right on the money. The rest of these are spot on too, I'm really glad to see how thorough an investigation this is, plus its awesome for people like us who haven't read all the vision stories/ haven't invested the time to unlock all of them/ are too lazy to go search for all of them :D

I can kinda see your take on Geo, but it doesn't apply perfectly to Albedo, Itto, and Ningguang. Albedo didn't pick Rhinedottir's work up, he has always done that and, when she found the heart of Naberius, she gave him a last task. Itto has always tried to make people accept the Oni ever since he was a child, which is something he will never stop doing. Ningguang, I don't think she recognized the value in granting a wish from the Heavens, since she was basically trying to sell masterless visions just to make mora. For pyro, there's another problem: I don't see the contradictory work in their vision. Dehya is a mercenary like most of the people from the desert, so that work is not really a bad thing. There are mercenaries who work for whoever pays the most, even if it's evil work, but that's not Dehya. Diluc received his vision more than three years before he became a vigilante in Mondstadt. Amber became an outriders just like her grandfather, so it's more like she wants to keep his legacy alive. Lyney never got a Delusion. He arske Arlecchino to get one to go on missions with Lynette, but she never gave him one nor did he get it on his own. If anything, Arlecchino attacked Lyney and threw him on the ground for just asking. Thoma got his vision because of his ideals, the righteousness he was taught, not because he stayed with the Yashiro commission as a domestic helper. Chevreuse, we saw, is dead set on delivering justice, she has a strong sense of what's right and she can calm down the urges to deliver justice with her hands because she knows, she trains, and she is admired for doing what needs to be done in the appropriate ways. My take on Arlecchino is that she will use any method, it doesn't matter if it's a good or an evil one, to achieve her goals. She doesn't care what people think of her, because her kids know who she really is and how much she cares about her. Still, her goals need to be achieved, so she will even worship a new Archon and join a group of monstrous people in order to have the chances she needs to do what she needs to do, to obtain what she needs to obtain. Anyway, thank you!!! I'm happy you liked the video!!! I decided to talk about each character individually also for this reason. Not many people would read their character stories, but they are very interesting nonetheless, so making a brief summary for each of them would have helped satiate that curiosity without going there to read them XD

@@ShadowX5452Gaming hmmmm yeah you're right about pyro. Those are some big inconsistencies I do stand by my geo theory though; Albedo gained his vision specifically when he reached a point in his research that he resembled Rhinedottir and her work ethic Itto also represents a larger phenomena in Inazuma where estranged cultures like the yokai and outlanders are now being seen as ordinary citizens alongside the inazumans, and that includes inazuman society abandoning old pretenses like scary folk tales of violent oni. Itto successfully integrating into human society granting him his vision was likely because he's a great representative of Inazuma's transition into the new age post-sakoku decree Also I stumbled with Ningguang: I meant to highlight that she got her vision when she tried to turn a profit off selling a masterless vision. In simple terms it was just another scheme to create a market out of something novel- but in a deeper sense she realized that if a masterless vision really can be sold to someone, restored, and given to a new holder, then mora has the power to give old ambitions new life. I think this is the reason this act was significant enough to grant her a vision

My theory on hydro vision holders and what the hydro element represents was always "devotion to the pursuit of a personal ideal" and I feel like it still applies to most. The dedication and tenacity of these characters to a particular value just stands out to me. Even after meeting Neuvillette and Furina, I still feel like it applies. Maybe I'm blinded by my devotion to so many hydro characters, though. XD Oh and editing to add I don't think this is necessarily in opposition to what you said. The world's opposition to their ideals would be a challenge that they don't back down from.

The problem is that, in general, the ideal of a person is always personal in a sense, and they are devoted to it. Take Hu Tao for example, I doubt we can find anyone more devoted to her work, but she's Pyro. While, in opposition, Kokomi loves the art of war, but once the rebellion was over, she accepted her task as just the divine priestess to help her people live happy lives and care about governing and economics, which is not her forte

I don't see why people relate Anemo to loss of someone important, when that is clearly something related to Cryo, on a more general note "the loss of something or someone you love or care for". Qiqi received a Vision while she died and stuggled for her life, the person one loves the most is always oneself. Mika was about to die too. Rosaria was about to starve to death and fought tooth and nails to save her life. Shenhe received her vision after fighting against the monster she was sacrificed to, when she lost everything, from her family, her scum father, her village and was about to loose her life. Kaeya received a Vision while fighting (to death?) with his brother Diluc, when he lost the only thing that remained of his "family". Ayaka received one at the end of a long training while her clan was in jeopardy, both her parents died and she wished to protect her brother that on the other hand had a Hydro Vision cause he had to grow up and put on a facade for the sake of their survival. Wriothesley never had anything to begin with, so when he lost the only thing he had - freedom- the Vision appeared in his pocket. Freminet was about to loose his life, his last strand of hope and his mind, alone in the depth of the ocean, and we know that mental health is the core of Freminet's carachter, so most likely what's most important to him. Diona is more fearful of loosing her father then a hater of alcohol herself and she got the Vision when she was afraid to never see her father again. Eula received her Vision when she understood that she had to give up on her clan despite loving it, if she wanted to restore the prestige, because she had to let go of they wicked ideals and discover herself if she wanted to do any good and not fall in the same patterns as her predecessors. Chongyun can't practice the job of his dreams so he is loosing something, and the Vision somewhat helps him not to explode in a ball of Yang energy, still doesn't really help with the job tho. Ganyu gave up her nature of peaceful and solitary creature, detached from mundane things, to live among humans and help them in the war and peace times. The tale of her Vision specifically mentions that this goes against her nature of Qiling, so I'd say that this is what was important for her at the time. Layla I'd say was about to loose face, but also she lost her temperament for a while. I'd say the idea of her not being able to talk about something she is passionate about was what triggered the Vision, the idea of "loosing" the subject of your passion. I can't quite piece Charlotte, because a piece is missing, but could it be something like "fear of loosing the job she loves" I don't think this quite contradicts the idea of the Vision being a sword and a shield for the people that wield it, I'm just saying it's deeply tied to the idea of loosing something versus Electro or Geo in which Visions just appear randomly

People tend to associate anemo with loss and death of someone important because of Kazuha and Xiao, mainly, but, as I said in the video, it doesn't really make sense, especially with Lynette's vision story, since she got her vision because she was able not to lose anyone. Still, I kinda see the idea of losing someone in cryo, but I also guess your view is very dependent on the Tsaritsa being the God of Love, which is something I don't actually believe to be true. As for the characters you mentioned, Mika was in a different situation and was risking his life, but his main goal was to protect his teammates, so that they wouldn't risk their lives as well. If risking to die was the requirement, then Bennet would have been Cryo as well, considering when he received his vision. Rosaria was indeed starving and all, but her vision appeared when she had to fight the guy who kidnapped her as a child, the same guy who also treated her, in a very odd way, as his daughter, which is also shown in the windblume event last year. Kaeya didn't lose his family when Crepus died, he lost the balance he had between being khaenri'ahn and being mondstadter. If he had to receive his vision when he lost his family, he would have received it when his real father abandoned him in front of the Dawn Winery. Freminet wanted to save his family members and the vision is what helped him achieve it. Diona wanted to save his father, that's the easiest one. I don't really know why you think Chongyung's vision is saving him from his Yang energy. The Popsicles he eats are prepared by someone else (I don't remember who it is), not with his vision. Ganyu did have to give up on her leasurely life, but she did so to protect the people of Liyue. All in all, wanting to protect someone is basically the same as saying wanting to prevent them from dying or avoid losing them, but I still think that it's more about protecting, being a shield, which is also represented by the element itself, even in the enemies' attacks. It just makes more sense to me, that's all
@reddinareddika3624

We know from Chongyun's events and hangouts that Yang energy is related to Pyro, heat and spicyness, while Yin energy, which he needs to counterbalance is linked to Cryo, mildness and cold. Yin and Yang are perfect opposites, so I suspect the cold emanating from the Vision helps against the spikes in his Yang energy, even if they aren't entirely removed, hence why the need for popsicles, and this is also the reason why, even if Chongyun pursues the goal of being an exorcist with passion and determination, he didn't get a Pyro Vision (I also think that a Pyro Vision is granted to those who SUCCESSFULLY pursue a goal with passion and determination, which Chongyun doesn't manage to, due to his energy), he gets a Cryo one even if that makes him further from his goal. In a way he loses something. As for Diona, I quote Verbatim: "The awful weather prevented the search parties sent by the Knights of Favonius from making much headway, and soon the dread of "loss" began to hang over Diona like a shroud. If she could not even stand to "share," how could she bear having something utterly "stolen" from her?" She didn't want to save her father, she FEARED loosing him. Those two things are, of course, consequential to one another, and they are both right, that is why I said they don't contradict each other. Freminet's Vision appeared in a moment in which, we know now, he started hallucinating both because he was about to die and because he had a past of hallucinating. That was a moment in which he was letting everything go, in which his mental health was so bad, he was about to slip into depression and letting himself die. The thought of the people he saved and the affection he had for his family saved him, but yet again, he tells us in his event that he had been on the verge of loosing himself and the helmet is the only way with which he deals with stuff, so it's not really about saving his family (wouldn't he be Anemo, otherwise? "becoming the hero you need"?), but it's rather more poignant that he didn't allow himself to slip into his own gloom. Again, someone on the verge of loosing everything. For Ganyu, again, she doesn't just do it in war times, she remains forever with humans, which implies giving up a piece of youself (especially underlined in the Vision section of Story) for the greater good. If she wanted to just protect the people, once the war was over, she could have gone back into her solitary life, or when Morax decided the people of Liyue didn't need a god, she could have gone back on the mountains and only go down when needed. She wanted to stay though, meaning that she gave up something out of love for the people of Liyue. Rosaria... well she had to kill her "father" to survive, that's the ultimate loss. Kaeya didn't get his Vision the moment Crepus died (which is the moment that triggered the imbalance), nor when he decided to come clean to his brother (the peak of the imbalance), but in the moment he lost his brother and realized he was on his own. I say this because the point of it all, is that the surge of Cryo emerged not while they were fighting, but when Kaeya's life was endangered by Diluc, when they reached a point of no return, no forgiveness. Again, that doesn't conflict with your idea of the Vision protecting someone or something. It just adds an extra layer that makes it more defined, versus the other Vision wielders. For example, protecting Ayato could be a long term plan that could grant Ayaka an Electro Vision, or a plan about the welfare of the clan and her family that could fit in a Geo Vision, but since she lost eveything, it's Cryo that resonated more with her. Diona could have been Pyro, given that she has a burning hate for the alchohol industry, but the constant grief of having to deal with an alcoholic father makes her more of a Cryo carachter than a Pyro one. I actually thought about that way before linking the Tsaritsa to this, but you linked it in your own video, and I believe it fits the narrative you applied on the other Archons as well.

@@reddinareddika3624 I can see the reasons why you would think that, and I think you're actually right, although (and I'm testing your theory) the concept of "loss" would need to be defined, because there are a lot of different types involved in this discussion. There's the actual loss, the fear of loss, and the voluntary loss. They are all different kinds of loss, and I would even think that some, like the voluntary one (Ganyu basically), can't really be considered as such. I don't really see giving up something on your own accord as a loss, because a loss implies that it's something you didn't want to happen. In Ganyu's case, it would be a simple decision. Anyone who decides to work is making a decision that will inevitably involve a "loss" of free time that could have been spent doing something else, but since it's a decision, it's not a loss anymore. Obviously I'm talking about a willing decision like Ganyu's, not a forced one, which is more akin to a rich person who doesn't need to work because of the amount of money they have, who nevertheless decides to start working because they want to. The concept of loss, though, in Genshin Impact, is also very problematic because there are a lot of characters who lost something or feared losing something, but still got a different element. Dori decided to become the richest person in Sumeru because she didn't want to lose her sister, Kaveh got his vision after his father died and his mother moved to Fontaine to make a new family, Yelan got her vision after she lost her teammates because of her own actions, Albedo lost her motherly figure suddenly, Lisa lost a big chunk of her lifespan, I mean the list goes on. That's why I think that, although the concept of loss seems very fitting, especially with my own theory about the Tsaritsa, it must have a further specific definition that I can find in wanting to save someone, which, by the way, still fits with the Tsaritsa since ei think she wants to go back in time and prevent the death of whoever died that turned her the way she is. Probably, the best definition for Cryo would be a middle point between loss and wanting to save someone. As I said before, I'm just testing your theory to see if it can lead to an even better understanding of the element

@@reddinareddika3624 Your theory makes so much sense!!! Like I was thinking about cryo vision criteria for few days and this was my conclusion- Usually it's about when something traumatic or big happens in your life which makes you understand how much you value your subject of importance.

This is an amazing video! Really made me rethink what the respective "personalities" each vision has in relation to their vision holders. Also, when I was doing some research on Charlotte and how she got her vision, it didn't make much sense to me as she didn't have this "duality" and it still doesn't make sense to me even after watching your video knowing that cryo users put up a "shield" and desire to protect. I'd like to know why you think Charlotte fits cryo! About my vision... Thinking about it, it's a three-way tie between Electro, Dendro and Pyro. I'd like to think that I'm a very authentic and virtuous (more or less) person. I like being my genuine self and hate it when I shift my personality for someone; in that way I'm being individualistic! I also would rather do the right thing because a.) I'd just feel bad for not doing the right thing and b.) it affects people positively! Might also change their lives, dunno. I don't always uphold these values, but I try my best to do so. There's also the thing with my art. A lot of people say I'm a good artist, but I know I am very lacking and, because of my tendency to procrastinate even when I don't wanna, I'd need to be pushed into the right direction; like, I'd need a good influence so I can get started on being a better artist! Actually, there was one point in my life where I was struggling a lot and, suffice to say, all I had to do to get out of that destructive rut was to do the right thing despite my dislike for the solution. Maybe that might mean I'd be Dendro? Honestly, idrk, it's a video game and everyone's multifaceted so assigning myself a vision is very reductive. Thank you, I'm happy you liked the video!!! As for Charlotte, she is the odd one out, although there's something strange in all her character stories. It feels like being a photographer and being a journalist are considered two separate things that normally don't mix in Teyvat, so that could be a first duality. Something else that seems relevant is the fact that her special talent is to see the hidden truth of reality, which is often highlighted in her stories, so maybe her ability to see something both as a regular person and as a special person with a particular talent, may be another indicator of a kind of duality. Lastly, Monsieur Verite is basically considered almost as a person, as Charlotte's alter Ego I would say. For the shield, instead, I think it's pretty easy. She wants to uncover the truth and deliver justice through her photography, even if it puts her life in danger like in her vision story. She spent who knows how long underwater in a very dangerous part of Teyvat to find her kamera with the incriminating evidence against that guy, and she did that as well as going undercover to bring him to justice. For your vision, it feels like you know, deep down, that you're dendro but you also kinda don't want to acknowledge it, maybe? Anyway, we all have multiple elements we could resonate with, but one is always even slightly more prominent than the others. Also, I understand what it means to procrastinate when it comes to art. I mean, it's a process that takes a long time for one single artwork, so sometimes it feels like a pain even though it's something you're doing for yourself because you like it. I'd say, don't force it, because if you force yourself too much, you are going to hate it very quickly. Maybe you just need some time off from art to rekindle the desire to make art again, you know, those times in which the only thing you can think about is drawing something and you eventually find yourself doing more suddenly :)

i see it like it: anemo: strive to freedom from some burden, trauma, conflict, to learn about responsibility of your freedom and price for it hydro: strive to some ideal, wondering, if you will ever be good enough in something, that you've done all your life electro: persistence to follow your principles/ideals even if it means to be an outcast pyro: passion about some activity and/or about people in general, loyalty to own friends/nation, some group of people dendro: persistence to follow your own unique path, finding your way of living or doing something geo: overcoming extreme conditions, starting low and achieving many more cryo: finding your true identity, goal, place in this world, when you've dealt with life changing situations, loosing "home" or "family" and finding new one i think many people are thinking about visions wrong. vision is AMBITION. they are given when person is ambitious about something or ambitious about overcoming something. they dont give you vision because "you're sad about your dead friend", its about striving, desiring.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
8 ай бұрын
yes, the ambition is what's important, because we learned in Inazuma that ambitions are basically sucked into the visions. It's also about the wish that reached the heavens, that's why i made this (and the previous a year ago) video, because their vision stories tell us what they have in common. That being said, for Anemo, I don't think it's about freedom, despite it being the Anemo Archon's ideal. The ideal of the Archon doesn't necessarily represent the ambition of the people who have that same element just because it's the Archon. The Archons' ideals represent the nations, not the elements. Sucrose, for example, is not really searching for her freedom, she already has it. She is looking for an imaginary world she read about as a child and she simply decided to create it herself. Jean is the opposite of striving for freedom from some burned, since she received her vision the moment she accepted that burden. I could say something similar for Hydro, too. Ayato got his vision when he realized that it was finally time to become the pillar of the Kamisato Clan, something he had always been waiting for. Candace received her vision when she finally decided to change the future of her village with her own hands. They know they are capable and more than good enough. I don't really see the persistence and being an outcast in Electro. Sara became the captain of the leader of the Tenryou Commission, definitely not an outcast; Keqing is the Qixing; Cyno is the General Mahamatra; Yae Miko is the Head Shrine Maiden of the Grand Narukami Shrine. I mean, most of them are basically leaders, revered by the people. the persistence to follow one's principles, on the other hand, is the definition of an ambition, so it would apply to every character. Your definition of Pyro is very generic as well and could be applied to almost every character we've met so far. They are all passionate about something (I mean, Ningguang or Chongyung are leading example of what a passion for something is), and most characters are loyal to someone or to something. Take Childe, he's extremely loyal to the Tsaritsa, probably the only Harbinger who actually cares about her and her goal. Dendro is also very generic and almost the same definition as the one you used for electro. I think there has to be a specific aspect that should be unique to a specific element. You definition for Geo could apply to Ningguang, since she started very poor and now she's extremely rich and aiming at amassing even more Mora, but take Yun Jin for example. She was already a great opera performer. Noelle is probably better than any other Knight of Favonius and she's not even one yet. Gorou has always been an exceptional General of the army. Yun Jin and Noelle didn't really overcome extreme conditions either, and this goes for Navia as well. About Cryo I could agree with dealing with life changing situations if we're talking about Shenhe or Diona who almost lost her father, but is it true for Chongyung, for example? he knows what he wants to do, he's not really looking for a new goal or home/family. Layla as well. She may not know how to relax, which caused her sleepwalking alterego to appear, but she knows what she wants to do and study. Ayaka and Mika, too, know what they want to do with their lives. I'm not trying to deny your theory because of some sort of enjoyment, of course, just to be clear. It's just that I do think the answer is in the moment they received their visions, when their wish reached the heavens and resonated with it, which caused the vision granting process. it has to be something shared by all the characters in that moment, except for cryo since it also involves the duality in their lives, so it's a little more specific compared to the other elements. at least, this is what I think, but it's a theory, so I will never say that I'm 100% right, but I feel, at least, that I'm on the right path to figuring out XD

I think I actually can understand how Alhaitham and Tartaglia could fit into your definitions. If Dendro involves a lot of integrity, well that's not just about doing the morally correct thing. It can also be about honesty. Alhaitham studied a tabboo research topic because he honestly wanted to understand. Tartaglia on the other hand is looking to the future and the consequences of it, just only the ones he cares about: Getting strong enough to be able to have a serious fight with Skirk. That said, don't mind me as I do some self indulgent self analysis using your definitions for what each element means. Your definitions certainly make it difficult to answer the question of which I would personally get in the event of aquiring a vision, but an interesting question (at least to me) nonetheless. Dendro, Hydro, Pyro, and Cryo all match with my personal ideals and experiences in one way or another. But to come down to just a single one? I suppose it would ultimately come down to what exactly would be happening when I obtained the vision. Based on probability knowing my own personality as much as I can, Dendro and Pyro sort of cancel eachother out. Integrity and individuality are heavily intertwined for me, I can't really pick one over the other. Leaving that between Cryo, the idea of metaphorical walls to protect yourself, and Hydro, to look at actions and their downstream consequences of the future. I suppose I would get Hydro because my experiences that resonate with Cryo are stemmed from my tendencies that resonate with Hydro. That and using those heavenly virtues, I do care a bit about justice and fairness but I am absolutely not a charitable person, so it would just make a lot more sense for Hydro.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
8 ай бұрын
Interesting take, although I still think Tartaglia fits with hydro because he actually cares about the future of Snezhnaya, probably because his family is there and would be affected by it. He is, so far, the only harbinger we've met who actually cares and worship the Tsaritsa. The others follow her for their own interests, but I don't see them even remotely caring about what could happen to her or the nation, especially since most of the Harbingers are not even from Snezhnaya, and I also think that the Tsaritsa knows and doesn't care about it, she's just working with them to also get what she wants and needs. As for your vision, I guess you're going to be hydro then! Congratulations of your new vision! XD

Okay while I came to this video just to hear about the visions, I must admit that my favorite part was actually the part where you compared the 7 elements to the 7 virtues ( 1:13:03 ). Although I personally only knew about the ones that oppose the 7 capital sins, the ones that you mentioned match better lol😅. This also makes me even more curious about the secret element that Dainsleif wields. Once there's more info about the Pyro and Cryo this might be a theory worth revisiting 😎

Yeah, the funny thing is that I came up to that theory by accident, we could say. I realized that anemo sounded like hope, and I thought "is there something with hope and justice?". I Googled it and I found the heavenly virtues. After I read the definitions, it felt like a eureka moment! Once pyro and cryo are out, I would probably make a video on those two individual elements, rather than a video about the seven elements again. Maybe two videos, one for pyro and one for cryo. As for Dainsleif's power, being most likely a power from beyond, I hope we'll learn more when we meet him in Fontaine!

First, a couple of small things. You accidentally said Hanamiyaka instead of Hanamizaka, second, the Musou no Hitotachi is actually the named of the technique performed by Ei and the Shogun puppet, whereas Makoto’s sword is named Musou Isshin. I About the content of the video though, I think limiting the scope just to the very moment where their visions were received ends up with a few characters having seemingly little connection with your overall theory, but there are things outside of those moments that lend support to what you said. Alhaitham, for instance, is generally not a likable person to those around him, but he does always do what’s right in the end. At least in part. He took Kaveh in, orchestrated the coup against the Akademiya, and, if you decide not to tell Kaveh yourself, Alhaitham reveals the truth about Kaveh’s father to him and the fact that he had been looking into it throughout the whole Akademiya Extravaganza. In his story quest, too, he consistently does what is right for for other people. His words and mannerisms may not line up with his actions, but in the end he always does what he believes to be right regardless of what others think of it. The other character I think benefits the most from looking at their life as a whole is Layla, specifically, the other Layla. In her hangout and during the Akademiya Extravaganza, we learn that her other personality exists to help and protect her. The other Layla is simply the version of her that could exist if Layla was rested, healthy, and confident in her abilities. Rather than doing everything for her though, she helps out in the most dire situations and gives her just enough help to succeed without completely taking over. I wanted to mention that in Neuvillette’s voice line about the Anemo Archon he refers to Venti as the “God of Breeze and Hope”. Neuvillette also has the line in his demo where he says “I will use the past to judge the future”. I think that the role he played and his ascension as a fully fledged dragon was his version of receiving a Vision. It is a power that is rightfully his, yet he received it from a god and was made to play a role that forced him both to be a leader and role model in Fontaine, and also served the purpose of making him see Fontainians and humans in general as worthy of saving, coming to see the former as native beings born of this planet that he was responsible for, and to functionally carry out the role of the Hydro Archon even though he no longer needs to answer to anyone.

So, it's not like I accidentally said Hanamiyaka, it's more like I've always read Hanamiyaka instead of Hanamizaka! XD As for the Musou Isshin.... yeah, let's not talk about that... This is not the first video in which I called it Musou no Hitotachi.... I didn't consider just the Vision story, I also read the characters' stories, especially for those who seemed not to fit the description. In the end, Alhaitham and Layla end up fitting perfectly with the explanation I gave for their elements with what you said. Still, I just don't understand why Alhaitham received it while reading the book about language. He must have done so many other right things in his life before that moment, but the vision appeared in that book, so I would think that the origins of languages are going to be particularly important, only we still don't know how. Thank you for reminding me about Neuvillette's voice-line. I listened to it once and I completely forgot about it. I guess my idea was actually right about Anemo, then!!! As for using the past to judge the future, I remember that one. I must have watched his demo so many times, especially because I like the song! Neuvillette is, indeed, one of the most interesting characters so far, even if only for the fact that he is also the only playable sovereign dragon...

@@ShadowX5452Gaming Another point I wanted to make in a separate comment is about Cocolia in Honkai Impact 3rd. Cocolia was an orphan raised in an orphanage in Novosibirsk, Siberia. As a young adult she would join the Red Army until the dissolution of the USSR after the Second Eruption, the birth of the Second Herrscher. Siberia became a lawless area ruled by warlords, and in that place Cocolia would fulfill her goal of creating her own orphanage, supported by Anti-Entropy, an organization dedicated to eradicating the Honkai. Bronya was born and raised as a child soldier and assassin, eventually being ordered to kill Cocolia, but failing to do so because of Cocolia’s skill. Cocolia would take Bronya into her orphanage, raising her there as own of her own child. As per the deal with Anti-Entropy, children with Honkai adaptability would partake in minor tests. Bronya, the new kid, had significantly higher Honkai adaptability than the existing prodigy of the orphanage, Sin Mal, contributing the latter’s jealousy of Bronya and ending with Sin Mal pushing Bronya down the stairs and then breaking her legs. Seele, Bronya’s closest sister at the orphanage, learned that Bronya was selected for a major experiment involving quantum space because of her high Honkai adaptability, and, because of Bronya’s injury, begged Cocolia to let her take her place. At first Cocolia wouldn’t allow Seele, her favorite daughter, to participate in the experiment, but her hand was forced when Seele revealed her secret: that she had a true Stigmata, the absolute highest level of Honkai adaptability other than being a Herrscher. Seele was allowed to participate in the experiment, but it went wrong she collapsed into the Sea of Quanta. Bronya, still injured, volunteered to go after her, and despite having a brief reunion, was unsuccessful in retrieving her, and sustained further crippling injuries to her legs and damage to her brain because of complications that arose from doing the experiment while injured. Cocolia, despite her love of children, fell into despair after losing her favorite daughter, and together, mostly with Bronya and Sin Mal, strengthened their ties to Anti-Entropy and became one of its Enforcers to search for a way of retrieving Seele from the Sea of Quanta, ideally by capturing and using Herrschers. Cocolia grew cruel and used her stronger children, namely Bronya, as weapons to further her goal, as well as abusing Anti-Entropy resources and their partners to conduct extremely dangerous plans, including speeding along the birth of the Third Herrscher, Raiden Mei. After Welt’s disappearance into the Sea of Quanta a few years later, Cocolia took over much of Anti-Entropy for herself and made secret deals with the World Serpent to save her other daughters, the twins Rozaliya and Liliya Olenyeva, in exchange for the experimental data from their surgeries and for Cocolia to help free the Sire of the World Serpent from the Sea of Quanta, who had met Seele there. Now there is more to this story but I don’t want to overload you with details like the specific ways in which she was cruel to Bronya, but I did want to mention that Bronya is very similar to Cocolia. Cocolia sees herself in Bronya even in their first meeting, and cares about her even after all that she’s done to her in the effort to find Seele. Cocolia’s taken into custody for her actions after reaching a bit of a reconciliation with Bronya, but we haven’t heard much from her in a while, only memories that Bronya has of her.

@@gyannunez it amazes me every time you write about Honkai Impact. It basically feels like reading a book, but in the good way, I'm not talking about the length of the comment. I mean, I'm starting to learn the story at this point, like I knew about Cocolia and her orphanage, Bronya being pushed down the stairs, Seele being lost in the sea of quanta. One name you mentioned was interesting: Rozaliya. Any reference with Rozalyne by any chance? The thing is that, with Cocolia mostly "ignored" now in Honkai Impact and her being dead really fast in Star Rail, I would actually like if she were the Archon trying to save her daughter, Bronya. It would be something new, different, but at the same time similar to the other games
@gyannunez
8 ай бұрын
@@ShadowX5452Gaming Rozaliya probably has no relationship. She’s one of the children at the orphanage alongside her twin sister Liliya. In the story they were turned into MANTISes to save their lives, which are soldiers who are given gene inserts from Honkai beasts. They both received genetic material from the same Honkai beast, Assaka, which can break itself into two smaller Honkai beasts. I do think Rozaliya is the design basis for Elysia, though, or maybe Rozaliya was designed to look like her. They have the exact same eye and hair color, and when Mei becomes the new Herrscher of Origin, Mei gets the same eye color as Liliya and the underside of her hair becomes the color of Liliya’s hair. Characters sharing unique eye colors is rare and only really exists when they’re counterparts or share some sort of power in common, like the Herrscher of Sentience and Su, the latter being the MANTIS who received genes from the Honkai beast companion of the first Herrscher of Sentience.

It does work with Diluc, Dehya, Xiangling and Yoimiya, it kinda works with Hu Tao and Amber although it's about their grandfather's rather than their fathers, we can exclude Bennett because he doesn't know who his father is, unless we consider his dads from the adventurer's guild, we can exclude Klee as well because she's too young, Lyney is an orphan so he also doesn't know who his father is, unless we consider Arlecchino as his father, but I still think the concept of "father" here is more like a priest kind of father, but Chevreuse, Gaming, Thoma, Xinyan and Yanfei didn't take up their parents' jobs. Also, wouldn't it be normal for a kid continue their parents' businesses anyway (unless they plan a different future for themselves)? I want to be Anemo since venti was the reason I played this game and the fact I want more freedom in my life and be my own person Also for my prediction of natlan I believe murata is the reincarnation of the previous pyro archon or was resurrected by the previous pyro archon For my first theory, if she is reincarnation, then I believe the previous Pyro Archon may have died before the cataclysm since venti does talk about her being murata but since it’s very well a title I think it still entertain the possibility that whether previous or current to the Pyro archons, are inspired by Murata from the Honkai games makes me wonder if the pyro archon is cursed with death and rebirth and when she gets reborn she’s born from the womb of war or fire meaning that if we do meet the previous Pyro archon in the archon quest it will simply be murata talking to herself from a past life now for the other possibility about murata being resurrected I believe it could be how folcalore was one of egerias familiar, but was chosen by egeria to be the new archon and since every new Ark conquest, hints to a similar story with the next one I wonder if murata used to be human born with the passion of war and strength and she died some time when she was human only to be resurrected, and blessed by the pyro archon to be the familiar of the OG Pyro Archon but then The previous Pyro archon died 1000 years ago and in the cataclysm 500 years ago Murata was currupted by the abyss slowly losing her strength ik the cataclysm is also a possibility for the OG Pyro Archon to die but in zhongli character story five it only talks about how the seven seats have change after some time I think so I think it would be really unique for an archon to die before the cataclysm rather then when it happened but leaving that a side I wonder if Murata will actually die during the archon where are quest and if I’m correct about her losing some power during the catechism, then she is using the power of the gnosis for more strength but when she finally dies she refuses to die with such a disgraceful fight whether it’s with the captain or the pirate, dragon sovereign, I don’t care but I believe the og pyro archon will use her or his last remaining power to give murata a second chance at life and be reborn from the womb of war and come back relying on her own power to fight the captain or the pyro sovereign to bring honor to her predecessor and the land of natlan and to stop the war ravaging the land with her properly claiming the title as pyro archon and the secret she’ll share with the traveler could be about the authority over the seven elements or a secret of teyvat that was given to her by the previous Pyro archon Also I’m pretty sure the Cryo Archon is based on bronya because it better suits her to be the current cryo-then for cocolia to be the current and the Barnabas being the Cryo Archons name, was a miss translation my personal theory is that cocolia was the previous cryo archon who adopted bronya when she was just a young god or elemental being and when she raised her she thought of her as her mother if she is the god of love, then wouldn’t it be fitting for the god of love to be a mother to the current anyways I think when the previous Cryo archon died likely for sacrificing herself hoyo loves that the tsaritsa was appointed the Cryo archon by cocolia giving bronya the authority and her ascending to God her to become the new cryo archon of snezhnaya after her mothers death she spiraled into a dark depression and started to become heartless to the people of snezhnaya then she started to plot against the heavenly principles because of what happened 500 years ago and how they did nothing afterwards but since she was raised by the god of love, she had to show no weakness or any empathy if she wanted that to happen, so I believe that she used the power of cryo to harden her heart like childe said I believe it would be a waste of an opportunity to not make the cryer Archon based on bronya since ei is based on mei murata is based on murata himself and Paimon is based on Kiana so why wouldn’t the cryo- archon be based on Brana especially since in the beta it was said the tsaritsa was bronya i actually looked at some leaks from the past and a lot of things have changed, for example, in the beta for 4.2 furina had to description of gnosis but in the final cut it says “???” And way in the beginning of the beta for Genshin venti talks about the hydro archon being folcalore so I think it’s pretty much confirmed at this point at the Cryo archon is bronya because I really can’t see cocolia being the cryo archon especially since she doesn’t really have the look for it while bronya matches the description perfectly, her name is even from Russia plus in star rail cocolia is the previous ruler of belabog but then died and bronya becomes the new ruler and since everything has similar fates in different universes than this can Coraline to snezhnayas story plus cocolia looks to be more similar to signora and I know you think that her and the tsaritsa share a face but that was just an insult that venti gave her there’s no real reason why she wouldn’t want her face plus if signora is theorized to be playable in the future then wouldn’t that just mean the tsaritsas design is just a copy and paste of signora where is the originality in that? Also I believe that pierro is generally loyal to the tsaritsa because of their goals being against Celestia, I mean sure he could still betray her in the end, but like in the end, they’re both trying to break away from Celestia‘s rules and it’s not like you want to join the abyss order since all they seek to do is destroy the worldsib why wouldn’t he want to join the tsaritsa be loyal to her, they were kind of defeats, the purpose of him being pretty much an atheist it’s possible because of her that he has a different perspective on gods and how they are all not the same I think it would be really nice for the tsaritsa and pierro to have that connection because it can be like neuvillette and folcalore though neuvillette hates the gods he does cry on behalf of folcalores death pretty much making him have a different perspective among the gods or the Arcon specifically (Also this is unrelated, but I have my own personal theory about how the ancient dragons authority over the seven elements is actually the dragons authority but their mastery over the seven elements Because I personally believe the authority goes to the being the better represents the elements ideal which is why the authority goes back to neuvillette because he represents the element of Hydro and Justice)

The thing about the Pyro Archon is that the Archon Quest is called "incandescent ode of resurrection", which means that the Pyro Archon will have to be resurrected, it's in the title. How, is the problem. The easiest concept would be a phoenix, that dies and is reborn from its ashes, but it would be slightly obvious.... I hope it will involve hummingbirds, since in the Azteca mythology they represent both the souls of the fallen warriors and Huitzilopochtli, the god of the Sun. I will hold on to my own theory for a while longer. I mean, they will have to tell us more about Natlan soon... Lieben is coming!!! For the Cryo Archon, this is something we've already discussed. It would make sense to place Bronya as the Cryo Archon because she would be a recurring character, but we've seen in Fontaine how the story doesn't have to be the same every time, they can change it, they can make something completely different and unique, like destroying the Hydro seat, a nation without an Archon, a playable Dragon Sovereign, and so on. I don't think that losing a mother would be enough reason to go against Celestia, considering that Ei lost her twin sister, which would have been a greater suffering, that's why I think that it has to be a daughter the one that died. That would be the greatest suffering a person could ever experience, so great that she would go against the world itself. As for the beta, I still don't think it gives us any certainties. they could have decided to go with Focalors but they may have also decided to rewrite the story for Snezhnaya, we can't be sure. saying "it's pretty much confirmed" is very wrong, we can't be sure of anything. But we just have to wait and see, we can't do much more than that. as for the last theory.... I didn't really understand it. Neuvillette is a Dragon Sovereign, so the authority was his by default....

Not watched all the video yet so I dont know if you comment on any of these but thought I'd get them down before i forget I've tried to find similar traits that tie vision/element users together in the past and heres what I came up with Anemo: Loss. For the boys its a loss caused by death and for the girls its usually a separation (although some have lost through death as well i think) Pyro: they have a job they care about and work as hard as they can for it Geo: head of or part of an organisation or group. Dendro: always learning, strong desire for new knowledge Electro: summons. It gets a little trickier here or at least vaguer. Hydro: a hidden side. Or at least a side they show to most people and a side they rarely show or are more secretive about. Public/private side? Cyro: again a sort of difference or duality within themselves. But these differences are more often disliked by the wielder and kept hidden for different reasons than hydro. The other side is difficult, awkward or dangerous to the wielder. Nevertheless they seem to be determined in their own job in a similar way to Pyro users. These are just some observations not meant to be an in depth look just things i found in common between wielders of the same type. Feel free to point out any discrepancies.
@ShadowX5452Gaming

The problem is that anemo doesn't involve (despite what people think) any loss. I mean, Lynette got it because she managed not to lose Lyney, and Jean didn't really lose anybody, nor Sucrose for example. This is also a world in which people die very easily, many other characters had more traumatic losses but they got a different element. Geo is very vague, because many people are heads (like Ayato) or part (like Yelan, Jean, Bennett, everybody in the Akademiya) of an organization. There are a lot of organizations as well. For hydro, many other characters have a personal and public side, like Ningguang or anybody who Hase a role in an organization, like before. Cryo does have a duality, a very remarked one, and I can see why you would think that they have a hated side in common, although we can't really say that for Ganyu or Layla. What I think, like it's said in Neuvillette's vision story, the important aspect is the wish that reaches the heaven, because that grants the vision. If a vision is given at a specific time, we should take into consideration the moment those people received thir vision, because that is the apex of their wish, the moment their ambition got so strong that it reached the heavens

@@ShadowX5452Gaming I watched all the video its great btw I really enjoyed it What I was doing with this list was trying to find things that all vision wielders of the same element had in common with each other, even if some of those things overlapped with people of other elements. For example many characters including those not of anemo have lost someone (Diluc for example) but everyone anemo has lost someone or lost connection to someone in their past. Lynette may not have lost her brother but did lose her parents first, sucrose grew apart from her friends in childhood, sayus sensei left her, jeans parents split and she grew apart from her father and her sister, all the anemo boys have had someone they care about die etc etc. The geo one i think ties into what u said now I've watched the video. Geo users have ambitions that involve helping/supporting others with your own actions and thus them being prominent and proud leaders and members of groups makes sense. I'm not making any theories with any of this btw I'm just connecting things because I find it interesting. I could have worded the cyro connection better. I don't think all cyro users hate their 'other side' but I do think it tends to cause them worry/concern. Ganyu worries about the differences between her human and adeptus side and Layla is always a bit confused/ concerned about the goings on in her sleep when her other side takes over. Cyro was definitely the hardest one to find a common thread. All in all I think that maybe there's multiple reasons why someone gets the vision they do. Both the circumstances of when their wish reaches the heavens and the personalities and individual desires of the person wishing

Crazy Theory on why alhaitam counted: There is a reason why some ancient languages are taboo. As stated any information that upsets celestia will be the *nail* in the coffin (pun wink wink) for that nation. As such the origin of language may be a crucial keypoint in revealing celestia's true origin, that they are not originally of teyvat! Since this seems like evolution vs creationism? Maybe just spitballing it though. We have a lot of traces of nations that could of possibly been nuked cause they knew too much about Celestia, like they say "Knowing noting is always a blessing" or something.

Who knows why it would be the right thing to do to learn such a powerful language...

Excellent video, very well done. The only point that I thought was weak was the description of Electro Vision holders. In my opinion, the theme of "using tools" wasn't very compelling, and doesn't tie that well into the heavenly virtue of Faith. Additionally, the idea of "using the vision as a tool to not give up" is naturally vague, which let's it be applied to generally unrelated situations. Would this criteria not apply to Bennett's, Lyney's, Ningguang's, Noelle's, and Chongyun's stories, among others? It also doesn't apply well to people within the Electro Element. Beidou's vision wasn't really a tool to achieve her ambition; it didn't arrive until after she had already claimed victory. Keqing's didn't see her vision as a tool at all, but rather a hindrance to her true ambition. What I would instead propose is that Electro Vision holders receive their Vision because of unyielding belief and trust in an outside group, power, or concept. Examples include Beidou's trust in the Crux crew as they worked together to defeat Haisan, Razor's commitment to Lupical, the wolf concept of family, Fischl's belief in her fantasy, Cyno strict deferment to the laws of Sumeru, Dori's belief in the power of money to solve all problems, and Keqing's faith in humanity's ability to live and make decisions without the gods. The only weaknesses I see this framework appear to be with Sara, Kuki, and Lisa, but I think I can explain these as well. Lisa mentions in her character story her belief of the "ultimate truth" behind visions and the world, and that the pursuit of such truths corrupt the learner. Kuki has an unwavering faith in the power of "certification", even viewing her vision as yet another one of her certificates. Sara's belief in the will of the Shogun is plain to see, but the issue is that her vision comes much earlier than her military role. One could argue that her belief was in the forest as a home for the Tengu, embodied in the line "No! It can't end like this! I... I always believed that I could protect this place forever with my strength..." Either that, or the presence of time themes within Electro (Transience, Eternity, and the events involving the planting of the Sakura Tree) could imply that Electro Visions are bestowed with consideration of the past, present, and future. Raiden Ei also embodies this characteristic, both with her devotion to serving as Makoto's sword and her devotion to maintaining Eternity, leading to extreme actions such as locking her consciousness away and executing the Vision Hunt Decree. The Electro users generally embody the image of devout followers, committing to either a person, group, or greater ideal, which fits well with their Cardinal Virtue of Faith.

I think the problem with Vision classification theories, is that they try to put just one rule for all Visions of an element. While in reality it seems to be more like that: 1) A Masterless Vision has an element in it already. If you managed to reawaken it, it will provide you with that element, regardless of what else you do. 2) If you are deeply involved with some element (making explosives for Pyro, gathering herbs for Dendro, hydromancy for Hydro and so on), you'll get that element. 3) Beyond that, Visions are granted based on compatibility with the Archon, the dragon, the element or whatever. They are usually similar enough to each other, but abundance of Hydro performers (while Neuvillette isn't much of a performer, and Furina very much is one) suggests that similarity to the Archon matters.
@ShadowX5452Gaming
4 ай бұрын
The problem with what you said is: 1) that masterless visions only exist after the owner of that vision died. They don't exist in general and then are activated for or by people. Plus, there's no real proof of what you said. The only vision we witnessed that reactivated, temporarily, was Tomo's vision, and yes, it shined electro as it originally was, but that doesn't really prove that masterless visions retain their original weapon. Kazuha's ambition, in that instant, was the same exact as Tomo's, and since visions are based on one's ambition, it would have been electro regardless of the previous owner of that vision. Then there's Ningguang who was keeping a random masterless vision in her hand and it reactivated. What are the chances that just that one vision she picked up among all the ones she had, was a masterless Geo vision? That's too much of a coincidence. 2) this doesn't work at all because, just like Chongyung says in his vision story, he would have expected a Pyro vision, since it's more useful for exorcisms and the dead, but he received a Cryo one because it resonated with an entirely different ambition and goal. By the way, Beidou is a sailor, wouldn't she have got a Hydro vision at that point, since she's always at see? 3)the compatibility with an Archon is a tricky concept. If that was all it took, then everybody in a nation would have the same exact vision. Everybody in Liyue uses contracts and holds them as the most important thing in the world, just as much as everybody in Fontaine believes in Justice above everything else. Same goes for the compatibility with a dragon. Neuvillette is the representation of Justice and, like before, everybody in Fontaine acts according to Justice, but not all of them have hydro visions. I don't understand what performers have to do with hydro though. Xinyan is pyro, Yun Jin is Geo, Lyney is Pyro, Lynette is Anemo... Apart from Barbara and Furina, no one comes to mind as easily as those who are not hydro... Edit. Oh yeah, Nilou.

And Fontaine's courts would not be working so much they're powering the whole capital. More importantly, Visions are only given to special people who stand out from the rest of the people of their nation. It makes perfect sense for Vision-holders to be a more diverse lot than the ordinary people.

@@ShadowX5452Gaming Also, I am under impression that masterless visions are very rare, and even for somebody like Ningguang and Barbeloth, getting one is a rare opportunity. So it's not like Ningguang was just sitting on a pile of masterless visions and thinking of business opportunities. She got her hands on just one masterless vision and was thinking of how much money she'll make from that one. And yes, she got very lucky it did respond to her wishes. Since it seems that masterless visions have more strict requirements than getting an ordinary vision (basically, you have to be similar to the previous vision-holder), but compensate for that by requiring less extreme situations to activate. Like, to get your own vision, you need to resolve to change your entire life, while for a masterless vision, you just need to get lost in a dream of wealth.

@@kotarouinugami1745 I thought I was obvious that it didn't mean that everybody embodied the ideal of the nation but that the majority of them do. Of course there will be criminals in the land of Justice and people who dint respect contracts in Liyue, otherwise it would be a perfect world. What I meant was that, in general, the people of a nation believe in the ideal of their Archon. You named her, Yanfei (a pyro character) uses contracts (Liyue's ideal) on a daily basis. The merchants in Liyue, even without a vision, still follow this practice and use contracts for everything they do. Even the Adepti, such as Yanfei's father, use contracts and for other things in general, like making sure that Yanfei would do what she loves the most and be happy. Same goes for every nation: in Mondstadt, the people believe in freedom above all (and in this case, it can be applied to criminals as well, because they feel free to do whatever they want); in Inazuma everything revolves around the concept of Eternity, even though it has multiple interpretation based on the person you speak with (like Yoimiya's fireworks that last for an instant but also for eternity because they remain in people's memories and they can be replicated with the slips); in Sumeru people privilege knowledge above everything and they have a whole Akademiya for it; and in Fontaine, (the majority of the) people live by the concept of Justice in everything they do. Even Wriothesley, who is tasked with punishing and reforming those criminals, wants to create a place where these people can live without the label of "criminal", which is his version of Justice (but he's Cryo). Charlotte (Cryo again), uses journalism and photography to bring Justice. Navia (Geo) has a whole organization that helps people when they're wrongfully incriminated, so justice again. Yes, visions are given to special people who stand out, that's the reason why the ideal of an Archon is not enough to explain why a certain person receives a specific vision, which is based on their ambition, not ideal.
@ShadowX5452Gaming

@@kotarouinugami1745 well, there's nothing in her vision story that can give you the certainty that she had just one vision on the table, just that she had one in her hands. If they were so hard to get, I don't think she would have started writing plans for an auction. I mean, out of logic, you would at least have a few (not a pile) before thinking about auctioning them off, right? Of course, since few people get a vision, they will be limited, but we're also talking about a span of around 3000 years of history in which people received them, so she could find quite a few of them across Teyvat or even just Liyue. As for being lucky to have a vision of a person who had her exact same dream, that's too much of a coincidence and we don't have enough cases in which people reactivated a masterless vision to be sure of that requirement. We basically just have Ningguang and Mona (and Kazuha if we want), and only Ningguang's story kinda says something about it. I think it's easier to think that, when a special person's ambition reaches the point where it would receive a vision from Celestia, if they have a masterless vision, so an empty vision, the ambition simply gets sucked into the vision, bypassing Celestia and shortening the process. The element could also be something they already have in themselves from birth, which is what influences that person to have a specific ambition. Let's remember that quite a few visions stories talk about a surge of power from within, as if they've always had that element in them, but it activated in a specific moment and under specific circumstances, like in Razor's vision story

I'm the kind of person that tries to do everything by myself. even if I know that I could achieve something way faster and easier by just asking someone I know, I will still keep it quiet, even learn how to do something I've never done before, and do it myself. So, I guess individuality would be a right definition for me. I mean, we live in a world in which we can just learn to do stuff very easily with the internet and youtube, and I also like learning to do new things, so I just don't see the point of having people do stuff for me if I can, eventually, do them myself. which also means that I ended up learning a lot of things that, probably, I'll never use in my life ever again, like knitting. When am I going to knit again? still, I learned to do that XD So yeah, I guess Pyro, like the inazuman pyro vision I have on my bag! although, obviously, I share other similarities with the other elements, like doing the right thing, mostly meaning that I don't bow my head in front of something wrong because it could benefit me. I also never lie, although I'm definitely more than capable to (reason why I don't do it), so Dendro. I basically live a double life, since I am Italian but I also spend most of the day in this english speaking word, and I have some pretty tall walls to defend myself inside, so Cryo. I use a lot of tools in my life to achieve my goals and, if I don't have some, I'll just find a way to make them myself, so Electro. But, the prominent features are definitely Pyro
