Our London Adventure: Prioritising Marriage and Quality Time
We recently had the joy of spending a few days alone together, while our children enjoyed some time with their fantastic Granddad. As home educators, we know how important it is for our marriage to be the foundation of everything we do, especially as we model strong relationships to our children.
Welcome to our Channel and Thank you so much for watching our video.

TIPS FROM MARK AND SIMONE
Here’s our tips for travelling/ visiting London on a budget.
Plan your trip around what you both enjoy doing and seeing. We wanted to hear live music, so we planned our first day around Covent gardens. We supported local traders while keeping costs down by buying fresh fruits from markets.
Avoid central/ London restaurants and Street food vendors when you’re on a budget. Grab nutritious snacks and eat little and often. We enjoyed seeded wraps and snacks from M&S, enjoyed a picnic while soaking in the sun and being entertained by the talented artists in Covent Gardens. London hotels are pricey! Aim to Choose a hotel outside of Central London but not too far as the travel cost into West End will increase. We chose Hyde Park. A clean and basic double room, no need for a large room with a balcony view of London city. if the weather is nice you won’t see much of your room. It’s just a place to rest your head for the night. Skip the hotel breakfast when booking and avoid cafes for breakfast. instead, visit local markets, Holland and Barrett and stock up on fresh fruits and nuts. If you're visiting a supermarket, check the reduced section first for fresh fruits and salads.
There are many free spaces and places of interest to visit. The weather in London was lovely- Being in the sun is such an uplifting feeling, so to find a park or grounds where you can enjoy your fresh foods and each other’s company is always a bonus.
