Before heading south to the more populated regions of Sweden we did a day-trip to Karesuando on the Swedish-Finnish border as well as a trip to Pajala. It's cool to see the huge differences in landscape from the northernmost city in Sweden (I think) to our cabin just 45 minutes south, and then again just 2 hours south of that to Pajala.
We sold everything in the fall of 2019 - house, cars, and so on. We wanted to see the world, but not just travel - really live it. This is our story as a family of five digital nomads. Yes, it's absolutely doable to be a digital nomad family, both with really small kids and with older ones, even if they are in school.
Corona/Covid19 kinda slowed our moving down, and we are hiding out in the northern parts of Sweden until countries start to open up for us to come live there. But, we've never lived next door to reindeer and Santa Clause, and never experienced 8-month winters (with 2-4 meters of snow) before, so this is a pretty unique experience as well.
