So many gorgeous dresses. I enjoyed seeing the accessories too...capes, shoes, bonnets, hats, under garments, belts, beading, trims, lace, embroidery, etc. Thank you for taking us along on this trip.

Those gold boots! You got some really great detail footage of the garments that will be fun to watch at a slower speed. Thank you!

Vancouver is like a 3 hour drive for me (in the Seattle area). I think I'll go some weekend to see the exhibit before it ends

The part I loved is the fact they showed 19th-century undergarments/structures.

I rarely travel to the mainland, but I just might have to for this. The video gave me huge nostalgia for my visit to the Fashion Museum in Bath a decade ago.

I enjoyed this! Thank you for bringing this to your channel because I've always wanted to go to an exhibit like that, but I don't always have the opportunity to go. One of the 1917 dresses had panels with slight variations in color (I believe it was the peach one at 15:20), and I immediately thought about the ladies who would upcycle their gowns or hand-me-down clothing because the panels are in areas where a dress might be let out to accommodate for a slightly larger figure. Especially considering there were lace insertions and decorations that might help lengthen the arms, help with a FBA, etc. I don't know if that's what the wearer of this dress did, but it certainly is plausible.

Thanks for posting this. I got very interested in fashion history in the past year, and was planning on giving my family a tour of the exhibit to show off my knowledge. Seeing what dresses are on display and their order is making it much easier for me to structure it. The arsenic dress likely used to be a darker colour (closer to the colour of the trim), but it's faded over time. Google Scheele's green to see the colour it probably used to be.

Strange to think that the pretty green dress might have killed its owner. Nice to be able to see the backs of the gowns.
