Their website will have the prices, (I left the link in the video description) I think it was around $10 or $15.

Thanks for sharing. I made it to the old museum building in early 2019 and was blown away, looks like the full collection is in this new location. I believe it won't feel right unless I visit with my 80 series this time around 🍻

I love visiting that place. Was just there last year for their Grand Opening. Always cool to see the display and history of Land Cruisers. Kelsey, what’s the background on you driving the Expedition 7? How? When? That’s pretty cool.

Jorge, the grand opening must have been fun! I was working for Overland Journal and got to go drive one of the trucks for a transport stage of E7. So from the Czech Republic through Austria, Italy, Monaco to France. It was a pretty cool opportunity.

You did a great job on photographing and describing the feeling of being surrounded by my dream vehicles. I’m sorry I fouled your all land cruiser video with my red 4 runner in your opening shot. Was nice visiting with you that day, Tim, as I said before. Best wishes for your upcoming adventures.Been fun catching up on your travels. I’m sitting out at 24 town for the race next weekend. I volunteer doing sponsee signs on the course. Cheers for your efforts!

Andrew St. Pierre White did a video of a similar museum in Dubai (I think it was Dubai). For world wide overlanding I think your Maltec is fantastic as is the Landcruiser Troopy but for me, I would take the 1985 Toyota 4x4 Truck. I read that the ‘82-‘85 model was designed by Toyota’s Landcruiser design team and it was really a ‘Landcruiser light’. Solid front axle, leaf spring front and rear, manual front lockers etc. Build a lightweight pop top camper and one or two people could easily and economically drive around the world for years. It was a gasoline 2.4 litre 22R bulletproof engine that with regular maintenance can still be found on the road today.

@@SaltySunriseSailing I bought a 1986 new but sold it in ‘88 to finance a year long backpacking trip around the world. I started that trip with a 4 month overlanding trip driving from England (ferry to France) to Nairobi, then a month of overlanding from Bombay to Kathmandu before reverting back to backpacking SE Asia, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand. When I got home in ‘89 I bought a cheap old beater so I could save money and I headed out again in 1990, back to Africa where I overlanded from Nairobi to Harare from where I hitchhiked through Zimbabwe and Botswana and into South Africa. In South Africa it was safer to rent a vehicle and I took that 2 wheel drive down a bunch of dirt tracks in Kruger Nat’l Park. I had a great time. I’ve never stopped travelling although over the years the style has become a lot softer, hotels, motels, B&B’s. In our 60’s now, just the other day I told my wife that I’d like to ship our truck to South America and ‘drive around for a while’. From the response I got, that won’t be happening but we will still be travelling there and elsewhere in the softer way. I’m envious of you two and others that I follow even though I spent a good portion of my younger years doing similar adventures. Life is a great adventure and you two live a great adventurous lifestyle, keep it up.

There are a few Australian spec Landcruiser models in the museum - one of them is a VDJ200 with a 1VD-FTV twin turbocharged diesel V8 in it and the other is a FZJ105 GXL (these two are next to each other)

Obviously a stop that Tim HAD to make no matter the schedule! I know....Kelsey enjoys this stuff too, but we all know Tim fantisizes/geeks out about this sort of thing. Way cool to think Kelsey could walk into this place and have that chip on her shoulder that "I drove this is an OE"...so, I am a badass. Seriously, I would LOVE to explore this museum. So many cool tid-bits to learn/explore. I doubt Tim spent as much time as he would have liked in this building. That's sweet that they give the history on each vehicle. Definitely going to check the website out. Owned a 60 for a short time and never got it road worthy...but I can say I was an owner...lol Here I am wanting to put a TEQ emblem somewhere on my Tacoma... 7:36....this is where I realize I am severely under informed about the Landcruiser progression. Seeing some models here that I don't recognize. Damn I need me on of those.
